INV/SS or WP/SS

I'm struggling to decide whether I should make my Super Strength Tanker with Invulnerability or Willpower.

 

I'm looking for your own perspective on the sets and what you might consider to be the pro's and con's of each.

Personally I've always preferred Will/SS over Invuln/SS. But that's because of the endurance issues that are no longer really a problem if you have the right special IOs.

 

Willpower is a lot of fun and easier to play, especially at lower levels. At higher levels Invuln is ultimately tougher with the right build and IOs.

I have a WP/SS 

 

1) End Management is not an issue with WP as you can use both Quick Recovery and Stamina, so this helps you when Rage crashes and drains some end

 

2) WP is less effected by the -20% Defense Debuff when Rage crashes. 

 

3) Its a build that doesnt need Hasten.

Willpower definitely helps with endurance as you're leveling up, but overall I find Invulnerability to be a lot stronger.

Invulnerability is generally the “tougher” set in that you can more easily get both high resistance *and* high defense to most things.

 

willpower is generally the more beginner friendly set in that you have fewer endurance issues and you don’t have to worry about reactionary click powers (not that dull pain is hard to manage).

 

I’ve got both an inv/SS and WP/SS.  They can both do the job of a tank very well.
