And why should heroes not be able to use the emote? If you want a cash counting emote, then just ask for it without placing limitations on who gets to use it.

Jeez, I wasn't implying exclusivity, just story/RP reasons. But if you want to play a mercenary hero, go ahead.

It’s not just mercenaries, I’m sure all heroes are some point had the thought “oh hey, there’s an ATM… how much cash do I have?”

Fair enough, except maybe Stark and Wayne. But the suggestion for the emote still has merit.

I think trying to pigeonhole it as something for everyone but heroes was where the merit was called into question.

The real issue with the request --as with all things-- is where do we get the animation from? Remember, this is all now a volunteer project with no finances permitted except the donations to keep the servers paid for. That means no funds to develop new animations, effects, or other resources. That's not to say that nothing new can be added (see innertube emotes), but anything that does get added will likely be a developer pet project that they want to work on and devote their time to without getting paid for the effort, and then on top of that get through whatever internal approval process they have in place to get things added.

The savvy suggester looks to make suggestions that can utilize existing resources with minimal effort to develop it. For example, people often suggest new power set ideas and include ideas for existing animations and effects, mentioning them specifically so that if the idea were to be considered, the developers would see the possibility of minimal effort needed to make it happen. But even that isn't a guarantee....it's just being smart about what you suggest by knowing the limitations of the development team.

I'd say /e text would be a solid place to start for an animation. Put one of the already-existing bundles of money in the character's hands, and maybe a single bill moving back and forth would simulate endlessly counting a stack of bills.
