Solo Brute Build request

Hey guys! Coming back to the game and was looking at either brute, tanker or scrapper for a new toon. The idea behind it is to solo as much content as possible (doesn’t matter too much how long) but I will be grouping with friends here and there!  Someone suggested brute force this reason, so here I am!
 

I’ve narrowed it down to MA offense, but looking at either psi, regen or dark armor for the defense. Any suggestions?

 

Psi seems neat especially with the new tools for it!

 

With the Regen buffs/reworks, this piqued my interest as well. My understanding is that it’s not as tanky as other sets but the Regen will help with it?

 

Dark armor has always been a personal favorite with the aesthetics alone. Would really like to run this the most if capable!

 

 

I do have a farmer toon so I’m not too worried about cost in the end, just trying to have fun!

I've been enjoying my Axe/SR brute. It's a great combination of damage and durability. SR makes it relatively easy to get softcapped defenses. It's possible to get some damage procs in the build without making big sacrifices to durability. With some resistance bonuses in the build, the toon can take full advantage of the scaling resists in SR.

 

My current build exported from the game is below. (I recently defenestrated my computer and haven't figured out how to install MidsReborn on Linux.) I will eventually put purple procs on Dominate. I fully slotted Long Jump for the defense bonuses. You won't need to do this on a MA/SR brute, since MA gives you a defense boost.

I tanked Recluse with Regen on my Tanker this morning, so it is solid enough. Just make sure to raise your resistances and maximize healing.

 

I am on my second Psi Armor Brute and Psi Armor is a solid choice for armor set.
