elec/stone or stone/elec?

Have a concept in mind, just wondering which combo has better synergy

I prefer defense sets on stalkers and stone melee has some added mitigation. 

 

Some hybrid sets bring enough to the table to help stalkers with their lower hit points, such a bio and psi that I think they are good picks.

 

My recommendation would be Electric/Stone.

 

Electric has great damage type and solid AOE.

 

Stone has defense and lots of nice frills on top of it.

/Stone is great. I agree with @Force Redux recommending Electric/Stone.

PS, Stone is a good primary... But Electric Armor is not my fave on stalker hit points.
