SolwenPolyhymnia Posted Wednesday at 06:03 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:03 PM Does Symphonic primary have enough damage potential to make soloing not a mind numbingly slow slog? I had played a fire/rad and grav/kin way back in the day but fire eventually had fire monkeys and grav had propel. Looking at the power set I don't see a equivalent in the symphonic power set. Thanks for any insight!
Psyonico Posted Wednesday at 06:13 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:13 PM Reverberant and the confuse can be slotted for damage, but its not going to be as damaging as a fire/rad. You can also utilize Arcane Bolt, it benefits from containment for 2x damage and when it is in its crit mode does 3x damage with containment. Time doesn't do anything to boost your own damage. What this team needs is more Defenders
Auroxis Posted Wednesday at 08:24 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:24 PM Symphonic Control's active proccy playstyle really works well when your support secondary is fairly hands-off and doesn't have a lot of ways to contribute damage, which makes Symph/Time a good combo. You can go Symph/Time/Energy to get PB Farsight and Energy Torrent for another proccable cone in your AoE arsenal.
Riverdusk Posted Wednesday at 09:48 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:48 PM I can't speak for symphony as I haven't played it. However, /Time has slowed response which is a -res debuff (and slottable with an achilles heel for even more -res), that does help with your damage. /Time also has time crawl and time stop both of which have good base recharge levels (don't slot any recharge and they both proc right around the max 90% for a standard 3.5ppm proc) that make them good proc candidates for some extra single target damage. It can also be argued its very good +recharge gives you help in killing things faster. It isn't as good as some secondaries for damage, but it is decently good if you do slot for procs.
Octogoat Posted Thursday at 12:25 AM Posted Thursday at 12:25 AM I have a symph/dark that kills pretty fast I imagine /dark or /rad would be the best set for leveraging symphony offensively. But really controllers are more about battlefield negation than damage which isn't to say their damage can't be good! Just keep your eyes on the right prize.
SolwenPolyhymnia Posted Thursday at 03:08 PM Author Posted Thursday at 03:08 PM Thank you everyone for your inputs! I may give symph/time controller a shoot as my next alt!
