Macros that I have made to manage combos for Dual Blade attacks are not functioning correctly and are disappearing at the $$ point.

An example macro that I have is:

goto_tray 5$$powexec_name Ablating Strike

It will last for some time and function properly but then randomly the part after the $$ will disappear.  This does not matter if the macro was copied and pasted or if it was constructed in game.

macros have problems with the $$ part... copying the macro creation string will likely fail, almost everytime in my case. it will drop the $$ and whatever follows. sometimes it will insert a double space, which you cannot see if you are editting, unless you mouseover the macro button and let it show you the NTSB(whateveritis) invisible string.

the best means of getting past this is creating the macro button first with a minimal text first, then going in and editing and pasting the marco directly.

if you are saying that the macro string changes after it has been used several times, after working correctly, can you replicate it and post screen shots of the before and after macro texts?

I also have found some macros that will automatically disappear or mutate. It seem very random but it might be something that is trying to avoid an exploit.

One that always stops functioning for me when I copy-and-paste is a very simple macro.

/macro x "petcomall dismiss"

I can type it, and it stays. I copy-and-paste it, and it stops functioning at some point.

This one is very odd as I can see no way that dismissing all pets can be an exploit.

Is there some reason that you are changing trays and then specifically calling a power by name?

I mean it wouldn't require a tray flip if you are calling the power by name.

I have several macros with $$ that copy-and-paste into new characters all the time that never fail to function.

/macro Heal "inspexec_name respite$$inspexec_name dramatic_improvement$$inspexec_name resurgence"

(I have following saved with as standard for some sgs with set emotes, "base related comment", and their passcode/"word-#')

/macro base "emote emotename$$local base related comment$$enterbasefrompasscode word-#"

(the next two I tend to edit in the chat window to fit the emote to the current character)

/macro Grat "team Gratz!$$e clap"

/macro Thks "team Thanks!$$e Victory"

(the next two I edit in the chat window to go to the innocent bystander or hero costume and character related costume change emote where tray 9 as my character's innocent bystander powers and the tray flip and costume change into superhero form. The macro to revert back into IB [innocent bystander] mode I put in another tray that holds my various costume change - where I also place a duplicate of the macro to change to super hero mode)

/macro IB  "cce # ccemote$$goto_tray 9"

/macro Super "cce # ccemote$$goto_tray 1"

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Thats exactly what I am saying.  The macro I am using is the start of the Dual Blade combo for Sweep, which starts with One Thousand Cuts.  I wanted then for me to activate the macro where it would then take me to a different tray where the rest of the combo would be there in order, making it easy to complete the combo.  At first I wrote the macro on my computer then copied and pasted it.  But when I started having problems I asked in the help channel where people said that the copy and paste could be the problem.  So then I made entirely new macros written entirely in game.  The problem persisted.  The macro would work a few times and then it would the second part would disappear, as I mentioned earlier.  There is really nothing you could see in a screenshot.  The macro just removed everything after the $$.

I always slot /macro try2 "goto_tray 2" in tray 1 slot 8

and slot /macro try1 "goto_tray 1" in tray 2 slot 8

I setup my tray 1 and tray 2 for my dual blades characters like these:

Scrapper example

Tanker example

Dual blades tray settings tanker.jpg

Stalker example

Dual blades tray settings stalker.jpg

I just mouse click when I use tray 3.

Tray 1 and the flip to tray 2 are all setup for direct access in my Logitech game controller.

These examples are all on leveling characters.

I don't have any level 50 dual blade characters.
