Coming back after a looong break - could use some help on my DB / Bio Scrapper do anything build

I like to try to do the best I can with my 'main character' builds that I can. My goal, typically and in this case for sure is to pick a theme / backstory and build the best that I know how to make them sturdy so they can do any content even +4/8 farms if possible or some help with one maybe haha (because sometimes it's just fun to tool around and smack stuff once in a while). I also like to try and maximize whatever damage I can - but my understanding of procs and how to best use them is nearly zero so I just go for the best set bonuses that seem to look ok.

 

Sorry for the run-on here. TL;DR this build seems to be OK for most stuff but I think it could be better. Also no idea what's new over the last few years. Could anyone help?

 

I don't have a ton of inf or even all the accolades done yet.. I do have the Melee Radial Embodiment Hybrid done so I can slot that in if I need more staying power.. anyway I don't mind experimenting :)

I guess the thing(s) I'm looking for help with most is ways to improve survivability & how to add in the damage proc on hit IO's correctly in this build. I would be willing to swap out sorc pool but I really would prefer to keel Water Spout.. it's just perfect thematic for this guy (Swashbuckler / Sailor / apprentice mage) and I find it a a hoot to use!  (*also this guy was originally DB/Dark or DB/WP back on live.. I had 1 of each on diff servers but wanted to try Bio just to be diff.. but in the end I may just restart him if I can't sort it out. <shrugs> *this is my random confession haha)

Thanks for this! It's been a while since I've done this and I forgot little things like the 3 slot def bonus on Scapper's Strike IO, the to-hit buff for Blinding Feint and on and on. Here's what I have going on currently and he's doing just fine in most content out there and I'm happy with this build for the moment. I'm sure I'll change things up in the future but currently just fun to tool around and RP a bit with him as well haha :)

Here's a build I recently made, trying to decide between Claws/Bio and DB/Bio, that may help you with your concept.

 

I was forgoing combos all together on this one.  BF > AS > SS > AS > Snipe > Repeat...was the plan...likely very slight gaps (less than a sec) in the chain, but I was really wanting to go Sorcery and Soul Master Pools myself.

Thanks! I like your build a lot! I've been wanting to mix in more procs on my click powers but the alure of the big set bonuses are SO shiny to mine eyes~ haha

 

There are so many great ways to be creative with builds however and yours really highlights ways that I really love! Thanks for sharing I will certainly explore it!

 

I've thought about forgoing the empower combo as well but I would have to slot in Hasten and as it stands I just like to put Ablative Carapace on auto so as long as I can get that close to 30sec recast I'm fairly content. But as I continue to get more IO's I will try this 100 percent!
