Base Editing from outside - suddenly appear inside base

Recently when I'm editing my base on Everlasting, I'll by flying outside with roomclipping enabled, and while I'm trying to place an item, my toon will suddenly go from above, below, or outside the base to inside. 

 

I can bring up the chat window and stype /stuck to get outside again, but it happens so often now it's getting really frustrating.
