  1. Mind/Kin for me. It's not the BEST combo, it certainly has its shortcomings, but there's something I like about having a tool for every situation. An enemy has high defenses? Doesn't matter, Mind powers bypass defense (Awesome for Hami raids, FYI!)! Teammate doesn't have a travel power? Speed Boost and Inertial Reduction, at your service! Team is biting off more AVs than they can chew? Mesmerize will take one out of the fight so long as no one hits it. Need to keep foes away? TK and Repel, good to go! A crapton of ambushes all at once? Sure, Most controllers can put out an AoE immob, but that's not gonna stop them from shooting you. Mind can put them to sleep, make them too scared to engage, or confuse them (in addition to the AoE hold everyone has).  Some sets can do one of these better (Elec has a better sleep, Plant has the better confuse, etc), but it's nice having all these AoE options on one toon. Plus, unlike most Controller primaries, it has a legit attack chain in its first few abilities that doesn't rely on DoTs or a wimpy immob that doesn't do much to protect you (Gravity is the only set that's superior in this regard, afaik).

THAT said, yeah, it's AOE controls are pretty soft, It's T9 was already derided even before Plant came along with Seeds of Confusion. And while all of its powers can be useful, powers like Repel/TK/ IR are too situational to take a valuable slot on your main build. Mind doesn't offer any debuffs, and Kin is actually a bit light on them, as well (Many of its powers do have a debuff component, but they're actually fairly minor in comparison). With several long-recharge powers, you can't not take Hasten, and I feel like Weaken Resolve from the Force of Will set is another "Must have", as well, since it does everything Kin doesn't.

So, yeah, it's a good combo which can do some nifty things, but those situations are a bit rare, relegating you to a light blaster for most content.

  2. She first appears in one of the first DA missions. I usually find her in some odd corner of the warehouse. You have to talk to her there, first (don't start a fight with her), and then the next time (or two?) you see her, talk to her again and you'll get the Incarnate Rival badge.

So do that, then re-do the mission you fought her in (using Ouro, 'natch), and she should appear as an ally that you can talk to.

  3. It's been my experience in MA that speech triggers can be a bit wonky. For instance, I'm working on a mission where someone spawns at the front of the mission when you've defeated the boss in the back, BUT, they say their lines as soon as they spawn and you're nowhere near them, making it easy to miss what they've said and have spawned at all. In fact, they even say the lines they're only supposed to say when they engage the character, but as they spawn, so that's definitely broken and should be fixed!

  4. Also, if you haven't already, visit the Pay2Win vendor: You can get any three of the following for free: Sands of Mu, Undead Slaying Axe, Nemesis Staff, or the Blackwand. Each has an "Origin Bonus" version, so if you're science, pick the Nemesis Staff over the Blackwand. These powers cannot be enhanced and have slow recharge, but they ARE affected by global accuracy, damage, and recharge buffs; and while they don't benefit from Containment, they usually do more damage than a most of your powers vs contained enemy anyway (though this will level off by level 50). You should be able to hit with these once every other or every 3rd attack chain once you get some global recharge from sets and whatnot, so I'd say they're worth it!

  5. If you want to reproduce the crash (at least if it's the one I'm thinking of), just "damage farm" some non-sapper malta. They'll leave a buttload of bullets everywhere which seems to cause a crash after a couple hours. It's probably a "There should be this X number of things" vs "The computer can only show Y number of things" issue. Of course, that may also depend on hardware and drivers, so it may not be catch-all =/

  6. He probably had very high defenses. Any hits he did take were probably mitigated by healing/absorbing/regen/etc. Also, he was probably an Incarnate, with al the extra goodies that brings.

Also, I -think- the HC version of LR isn't as strong as the Live version was. I remember a few folks and I did the TF with master settings and beat it easily, and this was when HC had only been live for about a few weeks. We weren't even fully incarnated yet or anything. It was a bit underwhelming.

  7. Beo: there's this:

The author of that spreadsheet is actually working on a web-based app which will be much easier to use and update. Note that the Spreadsheet may be missing the badges that came out with the latest patch, so those may need to be added manually onto your copy should you wish to use it,

Also, HC did make several new badges, including one for achieving 1500 badges, and for recruiting a new member into ouroboros, as well as all the new PvP exploration badges and associated accolades.

  8. IIRC, the mission literally IS "Complete the DD trial". And you can't miss it, it's not in an arc. You have to call him after doing everything else in DA and he'll be all "Yeah I know you just saved the world twice today, but everyone got kidnapped, can you go do the thing?" and you get a mission which literally says "Complete the Dilemma Diabolique trial". I think the main caveat here is that you have to complete his story arc outside of ouro so you have his number. He should still be in your active contacts.

  9. Rocker: You have to re-do i wanna say the first arc. If you keep an eye out, a ??? will occasionally appear in your objectives list. This means there's an optional person to save. Save them (A detective an an Incarnate villain), and be nice to them. Then, they should appear in the last arc and you'll be allowed to sway them from Mot's influence.

  10. You're confused.

You get the tip mission at level 50. It's called "Praetoria's Hidden Treasure" You have to defeat 30 Devouring Earth in the mission you get from that tip. If you miss the tip, you can re-play the mission in Ouro (It'll be one of the last mission in the level 50 list)

  11. For the debuff power (whos name I forget), I'm using the Achilees' Heel -Res proc, and I put in enhancements to increase the Defense debuff and recharge. The -tohit is only 5% on Controllers and isn't worth enhancing unless you want to go ALL IN and try to get it near -10%.

I slot the attacks as I would any other (in this case, Thunderstrike and Posi's blast, respectively), skipped the travel power, and the T5 I just use to mule a LotG: Recharge. However, I'm finding that I don't usually need the extra ST attack, so I may respec out of it and take the travel power instead and just keep it unslotted to free up some slots.

  12. Might wanna update that with landmarks and such! Though I can also understand if some people might not want full spoilers. In any event...  SPOILERS BELOW!  (PS, doing all this from memory, please correct me if I've made an error!)

BTW, devs: I love the idea behind the Mostly Harmless badge!

That was mine! They put out a thread a while ago asking for badge name ideas, and I'm glad they (and you!) liked it!
