  1. Hi, just back from a short break, got the 100% complete on Tomb Raider the Shadow, nice to see some fantastic graphics and wonderful climbing/jumping controls using controller. Took my time and felt a lot more eager to come back to Heroes.

    My journey with the game might be a bit different from others, was already aged when I started and this was my very first non solo game. Real scary at first but got sucked in fast.

    I spent a lot of the live years running solo except when badges required teaming, and never joined an SG and never had a twinked out alt. I never had nearly enough inf to do that or the knowledge of sets. Only used the market rarely and then mostly for selling. All my alts were slotted with crafted IO’s.

     

    So when we got the game back it was joyous to discover the changes the HC guys had made that finally allowed me to discover all the stuff I could now do.

    I now have a solo SG all fitted out, it was brilliant learning how to construct a base.

    I looked at the Farmers and though I can do that, so rolled a spines/fire brute and self levelled it using the guide and as I did I started to learn about sets that are now affordable and not a distant dream. Got it to 50 and all super twinked out with sets and procs. 

    I rolled a second account and used my new farmer to raise another one on that account, I can now cross power level my alts on either account.

    Then rolled a tank and a scrapper and a def and they are now all grown up and twinked and used a lot for general game play.

    During all this I finally got to grips with the market, again more new learning 🥴🤔 And another of my bucket list for game is complete with two 2 billion inf held alts.

    So it feels to me like the same but different game and my burnouts are still infrequent and short.

    So yes, go do something different but keep a light in the window here for when you return 👍

    Hi, I spent three days trying for the two up north by the Boomtown entrance, Pathogen and Malady.

    Never saw them at all on the alt I left there and checked on every time I logged in.

    I would do a quick visual check of the mods but just the regular suspects seen.

    Was getting a bit fed up at the end when I noticed I was about 20ish CoT Mages for the badge so as a lot of them spawn in the area started clearing them, this also aggroed the usual spawns that also got cleared.

    After about three or four circuits of the chamber up popped the two bold boys in person.

    I did despatch them and left happy.

    But I am wondering if I just got lucky with the timer ( if there actually is one?) or if I forced them spawning by clearing the chamber mobs? (like when we open presents to spawn the Winter Lord!)

  4. Hi Zhym, thank you for highlighting that situation.

    I absolutely think that the two I missed on my arc run was exactly as you said about the bar fight in the faultline mish for one and then I definately defeated that Cortex guy because I had to do it both times he appears. He tp’s away and then after a few ambushes he reappears one diff level higher.

    However last night and using the info from AbovetheChemist about vidiotmaps overlay and the co-ordinates from your good self I hit the abandoned sewer system and went hunting.

    The first location was a bust but I think another player had been that way not long before and got them so am now wondering about the respawn timer?

    Then teamed up with another badge hunter that arrived who also had found the bug and went to the orange section spot and bingo, there was Corex and Grey Matter.

    We dispatched them super quick and both of us got our missing defeats so got badge credit and badge.

    We departed both with smiles and happy hearts.

    Thanks for all your input into getting us and those to follow a stress free badge completion. 👍👏👏😀🍩🍩🍪🍪

  5. Hi, doing Epidemiologist badge.

    Ran DFB and Posi ! so was at 2/9.

    Using Oro flashbacked to Watkins arc The Graveyard arc as above and completed the whole arc solo ending with taking Coralix down.

    Talked to Pierce and mish and arc end.

    Badge total at end is now 6/9!

    So with Posi 2 to do that means I only picked up 4 of the 6 needed for completion.

    I did also take down Dr meister? again during the arc but already had him from DFB.

    Not sure why I only got 4 of 6 as cleared everything during arc just to make sure.

    So I guess it is hunting in the abandonded sewers till I bumble across the versions down there which is a guaranted RNG hate me job and they will be the last two I find!

    Have no idea which names are the missing ones...

    So does anybody have the three locations they are at in the sewers please? If I get them I will suggest having them added to the vidiotmaps overlay for those that come after!

    Hi, finally got the 6 new badges in Cim after a bit of head scratching.

    Downloaded the vidiotmaps update using the Modder no problem and logged in to see 6 new locations.

    Bumbled around and got stuck at the last one above the Imp TF start point. 

    Could see the marker but it was not awarding!

    Asked and got told that battle hardened had been moved but the patch notes did not mention that, just the new badges locations.

     

    So they moved Battle Hardened, but also placed one of the new badges almost exactly in the same spot as where the old Battle Hardened marker had been but just 100 feet below it.

     

    This means that when you look at the Cim map using vidiotmaps it appears that the original two badges are still where they always were and you see six new markers to go get. I am aware that the vidiotmap markers are numbered but I am usually zoomed out enough to see the markers but not close enough to read the numbers, so I can plot a pathway from a map wide view.

     

    In my case I zone in using the LFG method and so right by the new Battle Hardened marker just up above. But because that looks like a new spot it is the first one to visit and when it does not pop a badge collected  message it gives the impression it is bugged.

     

    Abandon that spot and go get the other five new ones using vidiotmaps no problems.

     

    Rechecked the original two badges spots just in case but nothing happened, as I expected, having got them both back at HC launch.

    Was hovering above the old Battle Hardened spot forming a cunning plan out of range of the bad guys on the top of the wall, when I saw a flock of players zooming in and out of the passage from the main doors way below me.

    Dropped down and approached the door and of course the last new badge popped along with accolade.

     

    So just for info anybody with the Battle Hardened badge collected before the new patch needs to go back to the old spot and below to get the new badge🤔🥴

     

    This circumstance will of course only affect alts that have already got the original Battle Hardened explore badge.

  8. A global “No graphic effects”toggle that affects all existing and any new alts.

    And by global I mean all graphic effects as at present there are stil some effects that are persistent even where that power et cetera has a No fx option.

    I would even like the effects from insps to be toggable. (not too sure if that is a word but….🤔)

The numbers on most Stone Melee powers are 0.67 magnitude knockback, so they should be functioning as Knockdown in most cases without using the special enhancements.

    Hi Wavicle, I just been to dance class and half way through a foxtrot It dawned on me what you were telling me about mag levels and it was like a flash of Duh yes of course !

    This may be way out of date with current power actions but by pure chance I have been rolling  a Stoner on live and have just hit lvl 48 with it and all the power descriptions appear to say the same.

     

    I just took that info at face value and got and slotted the KB/KD enhancers as I got the powers.

    That means that I have no reference as to if they actually are just KD and my enhancers are not needed.

     

    I would be absolutely delighted if they are not needed and I can resell and get my inf back 💰💰😃

  11. Hi, been rolling a few possible new alts for live over on the beta server.

    I level to 50 and then use the “Auto-enhance Set IO’s” system.

    I am wondering how good the selections that system makes are compared to a experienced build builder.

     I am “okay” doing the pick powers part of a build and “fair” at number of slots for each but am really not experienced at all when it comes to set selection stuff.

    Anybody any idea if I could just recreate those set picks on live and be okay for general play?

    Not talking specifics here just a general feel if the beta system is somewhat transferable/viable to live alts?

  12. Hi, lol Stone/Stone tanker, 9 powers in secondary with five of them having KB! Forget Build Up and Taunt as utility powers and that means 5 of your 7 damage powers blow your foes away, just great for punchvoke.

    So top of the shopping list at approx 3 mill a piece is 5 KB/KD enhancers.

    Comes with the territory if you want to roll a stoner, but at least with the changes now on beta we will be able to jump with joy when you do get them all, just not very high 😇

  13. Hi, am not sure what the reason is to have some stuff be alt locked or account wide tradeable but maybe gold farming would be a good guess.

    Also whilst the idea of having all stuff available by using the SG base is appealing I have a bunch if alts as supergroup members that are from a number of different accounts.

    That would mean having more SG members permissions or other systems to stop/block or allow cross account trading.

    Seems to me to all involve a lot of game changing stuff decisions being made or a lot of new/amended coding to be done?

    I seem to use email and SG storage to get most of my transferring stuff done atm. Takes longer but hey ho…….

    Hi Ourider, this is very interesting and definately worth a consideration.

    I unfortunately have two very different account names at present mainly because my very old brain finds it easier to compartmentise stuff that way.

    However I am going to see if I can go down your way ( not sure if it is possible to change account names after setup?) and do my best to remember which is which till it sinks in 👨🏻‍🦳👍

  15. Hi srmalloy, thanks for response, when I stated the Account Password box needs no change I meant in the context of suggested changes to the Account name box. Just in case anybody assumed incorrectly that I was also suggesting a new popup box with passwords offered.

     

    However I do agree with you on the graphical inconvenience of white on white inside the boxes and perhaps that could also be looked at as a seperate (and probably quite easy) change action.

  16. Hello, I guess a fair few of us players are now using multiple accounts (I have two) and I do log in from both on a routine basis.

    I have the remember account name box ticked mainly to keep my alts sorting list fixed.

    So currently to login to the other account I have to click in box and backspace delete or overtype with the intended account name.

    It would be great if when I click in the Account name box it popped up with the last two or three or four (whatever) account names previously used so I could just click the one I needed and it was inserted into the box.

    The password box needs no changes whatsoever, this is just a QoL for inserting an account name.

  17. Hi, up above in the hidden content of the “Launcher main screen (initial installation)” section it shows an image of the launcher with the three choices from top to bottom as Main game then Prerelease then at bottom Beta.

    My OCD and past life as an enginering project manager likes that order as it is in progress order.

    So when did that order change, because my launcher now shows Main game at top then Beta and Pre-release at bottom!

    Not a game changer just makes my eye twitch a little every time I open the launcher.

    Any info will be greatfully received, thanks guys.

    At least I still had time to get dressed up and get enough tips for all the goodies from the mission.

  19. Hi guys, I ran a Claws/SR scrappie as my main from not long after live went live and it was still my goto guy at Sunset. Never really had enough inf or game knowledge to twink it out but it did every bit of content mainly solo. RIP old boy 😢

     

    So, when we got HC and I restarted, I blundered into a thread by Bill about an SR/Claws tanker I realised had the answer to my dilemma about loving the sets but wanting to preserve my old mains memory, so my new best alt was created.

    Being familiar with the sets was really an advantage but lol was it weird playing them as a tank at first.

     

    It now sits at 50 after being a bucket full of fun and surprises on the journey. It was put aside whilst I rolled a custom farmer and is now being twinked out from that one’s efforts. I cannot wait to get it out doing content at a level I always wanted my old main and now new main to play at.

     

    I do not know dickie about all the maths behind the build, so all I can offer is a subjective experience which is that the SR/Claws tanker was a joy to play from level one, never felt disappointed just eagerness to get it performing to its max. 

     

    Maybe it is considered “old school” or “visually boring” alongside our newer and whizz bang garish effects Brothers but it is certainly not less fun to play!

    For info, the farm I am using as above, 17655, rewards as follows:

    Solo runs - Minions       4172 xp      5840 inf

                        Lts                8544       20504

                        Bosses        25632      64081

     

    Will need to see how that compares to the other farms.

  21. Hi, so after a lot of years and self levelling (but with a lot of build help) I am the proud owner of a high end fire farmer.

    It is such a treat to have some proper inf and the ability to get my other AT alts levelled and filled with lovely set IO’s.

    Never been in a position to do that before.

     

    So I would like to maximise my rewards whilst doing so and wondered if some farms give more xp/inf per foe defeat than others.

     

    I am running at 4/8 and not even breaking into a trot atm.

     

    Could anybody point me to some arc numbers I could try out and compare earnings to.

     

    Am using 17655 Cult’s Fire Farm atm, the very large outside map with the island bit at the top.

     

    Have no particular preferences as I do roll the changes.
