  1. Okay, great. Super appreciate the input. I am running a Storm/Water Defender right now, and yes Storm is sweet. In regards to cejmp's statement, I see what he is referring to. Tried out a Rad/Rad Defender and agree that /Rad has some sweet options to offer. Haven't really looked at /Nature. What exactly does it bring to the table in regards to synergy with Dark/ ?
  2. Was looking at taking my first stab at a Dark/ controller. Have played a Dark/Dark Defender and Corrupter and was wondering what secondaries have synergy with Dark/. I realize all combinations are viable and have read some other posts on the forums in regards to overall thoughts on all of the secondaries, but was hoping for some specific input as to what exactly the synergies would be to best gear up to the playstyle the combo(s) will offer. Thanks for any input.

  4. Started up a Psi/Nin Stalker and thematically picked it for the whole Psi Blades feel. Is it doable to only choose the blade animation powers? Would I be missing a diamond in the rough by skipping the fist-type powers? Any thougts, input, and/or suggestions would be appreciated.
  5. Just to clarify, "for every attack", does that include non-primary attacks such as Prestige Powers like Sands of Mu? I seem to remember early on with Brutes that attacks like Sands of Mu or even Brawl didn't create Fury, and in fact due to animation times could stall your Fury building early on for the character. Is that still the case?

I remember having issues building Fury using Sands of Mu and the like back in the day because they weren't considered "Brute" attacks so they not only didn't build Fury, but due to Sands of Mu's long animation it would stall and slow the process of building fury. I actually moved to the Cone attack on my Elec/Elec brute to add a 3rd Brute attack to resolve the Fury build stall that Sands caused. Has this been changed in Homecoming?

  9. Looking at this, I am surprised that you are skipping Radioactive Smash and Proton Sweep. I know Proton Sweep is debated but running a Brute with just the initial attack (Contaminated Strike) for 8 levels and then just the 2 attacks to 26 seems like a long haul, unless of course this is just a complete respec once max level. Was just curious about the experience if you actually leveled this way.
  10. Getting ready to try my first BIO/ tank and was wondering the feasibility of this build as a tank. Was leaning toward making this as a Scrapper due to having had a DB/ scrapper back in the day, but I already have multiple Scrappers and wanted to make a Tanker. Having not played BIO/ my only familiarity with it is what I have read in the forums. I do understand that it does take a decent amount of attention, so was wanting to know if /Dual Blades and the mechanic it uses would be counter-productive to BIO's playstyle. As always, all thoughts, insight, must-haves and leave-behinds are GREATLY appreciated. 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... Let the Tanker Masters speak forth.

  13. All right! I have been trying to finish my present bout of character creation (altitis) fever, and I am trying to nail down an Anthem/Space Marine/Mass Effect kind of armored soldier. I went back and forth as to Blaster vs Sentinel and ended up leaning toward Blaster so that the Secondary is more active attack or control versus defense. All of that to say, that I am presently looking at either /Devices or /Power but was hoping to get some insight on what powers in these sets are great and musts, and which are lackluster. Also, if someone had a separate suggestion for a secondary that would fit the theme and works well with AR/, that would welcomed, as well. Super appreciate any input.
  14. Well, I had this idea to make a Ranger Bowmaster - woodland-type character. Originally was going to go Archery/Plant and then got to the Power Customizations and realized Plant wasn't so much Plant Control, as Thorny Assault and just didn't care for the whole thorns from everywhere for the character design I wanted to make. Was thinking a Aragorn or Sylvan Archer kind of theme. All of that to say, I ended up making him Archery/Ninja for the whole Bow and Sword kind of feel, and now I am in some dire need of guidance on the /Ninja side of things. Can anyone speak to what are must haves and what are fall flat powers in the /Nin secondary? All input would be hugely appreciated.
