Empowered with knowledge and embracing purples, I've cobbled together the below. I'm not sure if my Soothing Aura slotting is optimal, but I gave it a shot anyway. Also gets ol' PA a hair under 60s, which is nice! I've finally dinged fifty. I've got some respecs handy, so I'm looking to overhaul my dude. I do a lot of exemping so I tried to avoid purples generally (except for the unbreakable constraint in blind, which I already had handy). My main goal was Perma PA which I am just ever-so-annoyingly shy of. I know my defenses aren't all that great, but that's what the auto-taunt on PA is for, right? Having played in game and leveling up more, I'm finding a pretty big disconnect between the extreme distances psychic offers, and the melee of martial (specifically, that burst, dragon's tail, and eagle claw are underwhelming). I am leaning towards taking those out, though this has a noticeable impact on my defense (specifically smashing/lethal and fire/cold). However, I could add in will domination to bump things up ever so slightly, and add a fly-hover LOTG package to bump up the ol' recharge a little. However I defer to anyone who knows what they're talking about!

Howdy friends. This is my first build attempt at a blaster, much less this pairing. There's a weird choice of throw sand, which I don't think is that popular, but is a thematic must for my character. The slotting, however, was me trying to make the best out of a knowingly bad power pick (I'm a slave to theme, what can I say). Anyway, any feed back would be appreciated! psy martial.mxd

Empathy as a power set. It was my first main/50 in the olden days (I really like cleric classes, generally), so I'll never truly be able to leave it behind, but it just feels like I'm a relic of a bygone era. Obviously other defender power sets are obviously going to be better for soloing than the flagship team oriented support set; notwithstanding that fact, in a world packed with fully funded characters, the game feels different. Instead of teams becoming a sum greater than the parts, it's more along the lines of having 8 great solo'ers with some incidental composition/interaction, if that makes any sense. Within that lens I felt lackluster, and my faith waned. -
