  1. I was working on my scrapper and have him set in all attuned IO's as I was leveling him up and having those set s made it a breeze. Now that I am 50 I was possibly wanting to boost up a few of them but it looks like I can't use a booster on an attuned IO? Is that right? If so is there a way to un-attune an IO and then boost it up? If not then would it be advised to just sell the existing purple IO's and buy non-attuned purples and raise them up that way?

  4. Hey Everyone. I was hoping I could get a little help with a few questions. I have a thugs/time mm that is around 15 so far and I was following the guide from Warlawk for it so far. Now that I have my 1st bruiser life is getting a lot easier and I should be able to up my diff some. I was reading that the Gaus Chance for build up in the enforcers doesn't actually proc? If this is true does anyone have an idea of what to replace it with? Also, where he has the awesome purple IO's would anyone have suggestions for ones I can use during leveling as a replacement until 50? I have a farmer so the inf isn't a prob but I want to at least have something in those slots in the mean time. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Ok, Thanks for the answers. I guess one last thing I am a little unclear on is either LR or SC then going to get any of those crit chance bonuses or is it just things like thunderstrike or as etc?
  6. So I had a quick question with the big mini nuke aoe's and hide. I am kinda new so please excuse this if it was already answered.. If neither LR or SC break hide then do they have any extra bonus to crit while you are hidden? What would be an opener then, pop 1 mini nuke then AS? jump to the next group use other mini then AS again? I am not sure on the mechanics of aoe's from hide with regards to crit chances.
  7. I had breath for a while too but Nemu is definitely right on the positioning. I found I was loosing more dps trying to just position correctly to hit the most targets. Once you get your recharge up high enough I found my normal aoe rotation was hardly using it. I swapped it to Rain of Fire and I really like the change. I can have RoF going while blasting with other abilities all at the same time.
  8. Thank you again for all your help. I think I left in I21 from the original game and I am learning a lot more about the end game stuff that I was clueless about. I just got all 6 sets superior and reached 50 finally. I am going to respec and follow the build like you have it except swap envelop I think for RoF and throw the other purple set there. I have about half of the purples for all 3 sets acquired now too. Making progress! I got my alpha unlocked and am working towards the next 2 now. I think what I was seeing is that not having the incarnates unlocked was definitely showing the holes in my build but on yours you have those all covered with the incarnates and such added in. Thank you again and this guy has been a blast, blasting things... literally!
  9. Nemu, A few quick questions regarding a few of your slot choices if you don't mind? Sorry in advance if this is basic q's as I have been out of the game for some time. When I move a slot out of aim/bu and or the hami slot on blazing I notice the recharge time is very minimally effected, allowing me to maybe take up RoF or Fire Breath instead of superjump. Is that due to the incarnates you have selected and would you advise against doing that for something I am not noticing? I used to take blazing bolt just for the io bonuses due to the casting time and interupt on it but I am not sure I understand the free cast element of it with a characters % to hit buff??? I like the reason you have web envelop so I was wondering if that makes sense to add to my aoe rotation at all or with the recharge, just fss, ball, burn, nuke, and the incarnate when up are plenty? I know why you keep super speed from earlier and that makes a ton of sense to me now, I can just get a jump pack for flight if need be. Sorry for the maybe basic Q's I am just trying to finalize and I thought from my days on the original game that I would always use breath or rain in rotation but I don't see them and web envelope together?

  11. I just liked the fire fire build for it's versatility in both close and far range. For groups I could hit at range starting out, close the distance and use the nukes and pbaoe's. Then from the center hit any stragglers running away with blaze and blast. I think I am going to try and settle on the final build right near Neum's but I definitely like the idea of using fire *3 and you have some good points Krazi, Thanks! One final Q, is it generally a bad idea to make up any of these shortcomings of def or resistance with incarnates or do people pretty much stick with boosting up dps and such with those only?
  12. I can change anything I want really so I am open to all ideas. I am lvl 45 on this toon and have all the attuned sets (avalanche, blasterx2, blistering etc) acquired already but I can swap around whatever. I was working on getting the purples(farming with a diff toon for inf etc) I really like the scorpion shield as I am not wanting this guy to just be a guy good vs fire dealers.. I would love to see the build you have though if you don't mind? Also as a side note, leveling with the attuned sets has been a ton of fun!
  13. Now when i compare it to your build Nemu it just looks like I was not able to squeek out as much as you did in a few areas. Your build seems a bit better with rech and ranged def. Maybe I should just stick with that. 🙂
  14. Thank you for the input. I changed to kick simply because I thought it applied to all my powers I wasn't actually using it in my rotation... For super speed do I need 2 of the stealth procs one in sprint and one in ss? I can easily swap cauterize down that low with hasten. Good idea! With regards to cauterize and burn. I can take 3 slots out(1 from hasten, 1 from bu, and 1 from aim) but that only gets burn to a 4 slot right? I can swap to a 5 slot and through my scirocco there and then 4 slot CA?   15. So here is what I came up with. I took a lot of what Nemu had already done and tweaked it just a tad. Any thoughts or things you all think I can improve? I haven't put in any incarnate info yet as I am still kinda clueless on those. I was hoping to not have to use the alpha for any defenses etc but I am open to ideas there too.   16. I am trying to finalize my build for 50 and struggling just a little to find what is just right. I am really liking Hyperstrike's optimized build but I am trying to adapt it to use Hasten and drop the fly pp out. I like runing FSC opposed to FS but I am not sure I can fit in all the sets then? Every time I do I can get most of the stats back to 45 def that the build has but not quite. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Hey, I was hoping someone can help me out with understanding defenses. If I have say fire at 45% I know that is capped but if it was only say 35% but I had melee capped at 45.. If an enemy hits me with a melee fire attack would that go under my melee def for calculating the % chance to land the attack? Same question with ranged and aoe etc.
  18. Veelectric, Thanks for the build, Might I ask what you are talking about with the p2w amplifiers? I see in-game the xp bonuses and a few other things but I wasn't sure what amplifiers you were referring to?
  19. Could anyone let me know what he proper rotation is for fire/fire when you are at range? I am leveling mine up but I wasn't sure what is optimal
  20. Thank you for the replies. One other question I have is did they change some of the IO bonuses? I thought I remember IO's like LotG adding "def" to all as part of the 6 piece or something like that. I think I have my old mids builds from before saved on a backup somewhere. Did one of the more recent issues with CoH change some of these? Also, I have a question regarding these sets like "superior blasters wrath" how are these obtained on homecoming? Are there paragon points like in the original or is it something else?
  21. Hey everyone, I used to play CoH a ton back in the day and now seeing this up just rocks!!!! I am hoping to start back up and get a fire/fire blaster going again. From my memory I used to play a fire/fire blaster with a bunch of speed run skills and would run luck of the gambler sets to get def close to soft cap(45?) I was hoping to see if that type of a build is still an option? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
