The good news is I doubt anyone has taken the name Calvinist Dadfly.

With Blasters I find the sustain power usually overshadows Health and Stamina so much that they don't need anymore slots. So I just put the +Absorb proc in Health.
On my melee characters (mostly Tanks) I go with this set-up. I like the extra Run speed bonuses. (Also usually have the +Absorb and Regenerative Tissue somewhere in the build)

Melee is where Blasters do the most damage. If you're going to stay at range, might as well be a Sentinel.

It varies by powerset. Energy can knock everyone down, Sonic can put everyone to sleep. Fire's lack of mitigation really limits your options.

The first is a character based on Colossus of the X-Men. The premise of his power is that he can emit and coat his body with a non-Newtonian fluid that becomes rigid on impact, acting like armour. It also exists in his muscles and bones, making him very strong. He's a Tanker with Invulnerability and Super Strength. I made him Ukrainian, a former circus strongman before joining my mutant super-team.

I circled the temporary buffs and where you need to click to turn them off. Also note the 45% range defense which is our goal. You can access that window by hitting the "view totals" button, also circled.
I would consider Evasive Maneuvers a temporary buff too, since the Defense bonus shuts off the moment you do anything.

I think it's cool that Azealia Banks is playing City of Heroes.

I try to get through the Incarnate arcs for the component rewards (then I end up getting a Common one!) but they get repetitive after the first couple times and some of the missions are long. It will sometimes take weeks to get through them because I take breaks and play other characters.

I soloed the Task Force Commander TFs with an Energy/Energy Blaster. No tricks needed with that amount of damage.

I like those three arcs Mercedes Sheldon gives out at level 20+. Freakshow, Family, and Warriors.

I was also looking at this. What is the difference between lingering and prolonged vibrations? And the other odd vibrations?
I think they just gave them different names to allow the resist debuffs to stack. I honestly don't pay too much attention to them because damage is already so high, but it is noticeable when you hit a Boss with a couple debuffs then do a ton of damage with the melee attacks.

I remember when they first added wings there were so many "Angle" characters.

My two main characters right now are an Inv/SS Tank and Eng/Eng Blaster, so you can say I like the classics.

This combination of careless plotting, bugs and disheartening design choices does not help maintain my interest in the game.
Can I have your stuff?

Those who want to impress this newcomer (points to self): Have the Tank exclusively run Shadow Shard cave missions at +4x8.
I like doing this because I actually take some damage for a change.

When I hear "light powers" I think Peacebringer. Still not a lot of control powers there, though.

The only way SS can be buffed/adjusted/fixed is if they made another set called Might and made all the adjustments for SS to it.
Otherwise people will be screaming on the forums, "MUH RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Yeah, I'd make the current set "Smash" and the new set "Might", which would also be balanced with Scrappers and Stalkers in mind.

I can tell you that Sonic/Energy is great for soloing. Siren Song puts the minions and lts. to sleep, Screech plus the EM attacks keeps the boss stunned while you take them out.
Also about the KB to KD in Shockwave, I actually find it handy when some enemy groups are spread out to use the knockback to clump them together (usually for Siren Song.) But your mileage may vary.

Was wondering if other than spending millions on those set pieces, is there abilities which boost my protection against psi attacks? Does Stealth? Does Leaderships Maneuvers? Does Weave? Does Combat Jumping? I see many of these powers on Mids saying +def vs all, does that include psionics or not?
I'm pretty sure all those +Def pool powers give Psi defense now (they didn't use to.) But Invulnerability isn't as weak to Psi damage as it used to be, either. Unyielding, Resist Energies and Unstoppable all give Psi resistance. Invincibility gives a little Psi defense. It's not a big deal anymore.

Would you rather pop UNSTOPPABLE or go to the hosp?
