Wouldn't help for mothership raids but I'd love to see a p2w vendor for SG bases.
The devs looked into it but it's not possible as bases are classed as instanced maps and close down when they are empty, so the restrictions on instanced maps (np P2W/S.T.A.R.T vendor or auction house) amongst other things applies. The only solution would be to keep the bases up permanently and that takes a lot of resources for something that for 99% of players isn't going to be in use for large amounts of time.
Yes I know the main maps close down when empty but unlike bases all the resources are permanent and loaded in when it spins up. It's looking at a master map and copying that exactly.

Do you have an old copy of vidiotmaps installed? That causes no end of problems as the updates cause it to keep looking and looking and demanding more and more ram till the game dies. Try removing all the mod files in your data folder

The name is fine, there is a 14 character limit. Put a password in the password box then put it in again to confirm. You need a game account and game password to play, the forum ones don't do anything.

And it's always fun when there is a new patch as things get moved about. As those of you who have seen GM's in action know, we use ingame avatars. After a patch it's always fun to see what we will log in as. Once I appeared in atlas as a massive space ship that was so big I couldn't scroll back far enough to get a screen shot, another time I appeared as a door 🙂

I thought all that "mavity" stuff was just idiotic. "Gravity" defined as the attraction of matter to other matter had been in place well before Newton.
Off topic but it's RTD so I imagine it's got a bigger thing coming up. Or it better have as it's really annoying.

Happy Leap Day everyone!
I'm going to be making some edits to the original post but here's the upshot -- I no longer consider myself obligated to respond to ingame emails in a timely fashion. When and if I log in, and there are requests, and you're not already on my list, I'll hook you up! However, I make no promises on timing -- maybe I'll see it right away, maybe it will take me a few weeks, maybe I forever leave the game and never see it. Who knows? That breathless antici----
pation should add a little frisson to the mix.
Happy hunting!
let me know if you decide to stop and need the thread locked and hidden. It's incredibly generous of you but of course there is no obligation to continue doing it forever

This is most definitely not the game for no math.
There is, however, no meth. Which is an easy mistake to make. Just Superadine, Excelsior, Shift, Rage, Fixadine (not to be confused with fixadent), and Warshadesmax.
I find fixadine really bad for holding in my dentures

Movies need to make roughly twice to two and a half times their budget to break even. Cinemas take half the box office for themselves so if a film cost 100 million to make, add another 50 million for advertising (being on the low side) a film needs to make around 350 million just to break even. Movie budgets are often under reported as the cost of reshoots can double the stated budget. In the case of Madam Web all the dialogue was redone (badly) and sometimes you can see the lips move out of synch to the dialogue. Personally I would double the movies stated budget so 500 to 600 million would be needed to break even.

I'll preface this by saying I have no idea what the devs plan to do to khelds. I do know they consider them weaker than they should be, and understand that the changeling exploit is for a lot of people the only way to make them comparable with other AT's. It's why they walked back the exploit fix they had in place because extensive playtesting showed it nerfed khelds to an unacceptable degree. Whatever changes they make they want to make sure khelds are better, and not make any changes that are going to screw up the AT for people.
As relative newcomer to khelds I find them endless fun. I'm busier than a cat in a room full of rocking chairs and I'm fully aware that I'm not playing mine to their full potential. Lauci helped me to get a playstyle and sort out my slotting, and I do feel really powerful against most enemies now I'm level 50 incarnate. I personally prefer WS to PB, but I'm not knocking PB's, they are just a different feel and I prefer the concept and powers of a WS.
There are some really good suggestions on here and even the ones I'm not a fan of are well thought out. I do hope the devs pay attention to the kheld players, it's obvious a lot of thought has gone into the reasoning behind the suggestions

Don't worry, April is round the corner and unless they decide not to run it this year the devs will turn the mapserver event on..... Prepare for 5 seconds per frame......

I have around 50 fully incarnated tier 4 alts. I organise them by AT and have far too many blasters. I also have around 15 or so at various levels including 7 or 8 I'm working on getting the vet levels.

People will find exploits sadly. Then those exploits will get fixed. At least you have to work for Scrapyard rather than sit there AFK

So, this is what I did. And I'm approaching 60 years of age. Slowly, but still approaching. Not a million years like some of the undead around here, but old enough to find some of the technical stuff daunting.
First, I downloaded the CityMod Installer. I didn't want to do this. I just wanted to manually update the specific pages, but the Bicentennial meant that was going to more work than I wanted to do. So, The CM install comes in a zip file. So, all I did was click on it. I don't know what it did, but it installed. Then I ran it.
The only two mods I wanted were the new pop-menu BadgeSetList that was pretty much the same thing I'd been using, just had the new stuff in it, and the updated VidiotMaps.
Neither worked. So, when all else fails, read the directions. Damnit! I hate reading stuff. I like to skim, gloss over. Not read.
Anyway, once I uninstalled the old copy of VidiotMaps and deleted the old badgesetlist from the data folder where it used to be, the updated maps and the updated pop menu both worked.
I have no idea how helpful or time wasting this was, but that's all I did. Seems like you could handle that. File structures is a fancy way of saying where stuff is on you computer.
The instructions make it pretty clear where the default locations are. If you still have trouble, I suspect someone like you has friends smarter than me that can help you out.
Worst case, find a 5th grader. This stuff is like super simple for them.
You beat me to it. Just delete all the old files and it works perfectly

I always found it an absolute pain to download and install vidiotmaps. I'm not very good with modding and stuff. The modder is so easy, and does all the work for you. You do have to make sure to delete any old files first though.

Did you report some stuff missing in the recent database kerfuffle? The admins are emailing stuff to players to restore or to rebuy things that went missing I don't know the details, or who is getting what, I just know things are being sent out

Love all the information. I'm re-learning how to play these ATs, as I haven't played since the official servers were live.
Two things that are flummoxing me, though, and I'm hoping for some insight.
1) the Macros/Binds for form-changing work, but they are not showing the powers in the main tray. Instead, I just get the 'extra powers' tray that pops up at the top. Is there any known way to fix/prevent this?2) I understand that the way the form powers interact with some human powers has changed (ie. Shadow Bolt with Dark Nova Bolt), but I'm looking for a guide that explains exactly how they are now working so that I can slot them properly. Adding this information here, or at least point to another guide would be greatly beneficial.
People use the macro/binds because they don't like the popup power trays. I don't care. It saves me worrying about extra trays. I just bind the two shapechanges to a button using the keymapping page in options. I am left handed so have them on the right hand number keys as I have my mouse on the left and use the arrow keys to move around. But you can bind them to anything. I hit 1 and squid, and the nova powers appear in the top tray. 1 again and I'm human. 2 is dwarf, and if i click between the 2 I go squid to lobster instantly. I also have the teleports on number pad keys.

I've got some level 50 builds in this section that work for me. They are tri-form and it's a really fun AT to play, but it can be complicated. I run or tp into a group. cast shadow slip to group them up, then eclipse, mire. swap to dwarf, mire again, human and nuke, then dwarf to mop up the survivors and nova to catch the runners. Self rez if I miscalculate.

I've never spent more than about 700 million on a level 50 build. I do buy standard ATO's and use catalysts on them to turn them purple though. Anything that costs over 20 million is best purchased with merits. Hami O's and D-Synchs are best left for those people with more inf than they can ever spend.
I'm kind of useless with builds. If I'm building for myself I'll just shove the entire set into the power rather than frankenslot for every possible advantage. Procs I tend to use are the recharge ones (luck of the gambler). healing ones in health and end mod ones in stamina. Other than that, if I have a power I don't use with an empty slot I'll shove the appropriate proc in there as I have the inf and it won't hurt.
Some of them are really helpful like blessing of the zephyr 4 points of knockback resistance. It's not always about the raw damage.

S.T.A.R.T. Vendor in RWZ

And I think it would be a good place for a START vendor. Null not so much though, he's a unique entity and a vast interdimensional being with a small animal as his avatar. A bit like Jimmy.
