I've recently returned after a long absence. Had nothing to do with my opinion of the community (which was, and is, overall positive), just real life real-life-ing. The community has been great since my return, old friends as well as strangers, BUT I have noticed a change in tone. It's not mean or toxic...it's prickly. Seasoned players here are happy to share their knowledge and opinions, which is lovely, but a subset of these well informed people could do with a secondary reader looking over their shoulders. It's an over-specificity and preamble in phrasing that comes off as 'The IT guy who's been here too long'. Less of this vibe would be great.
