I've had Regen on my mind lately. I have character ideas for it, but I'm trying to resolve the following questions before moving forward
1. Is the nerf that socmany loathe regarding refen centered solely around making some constant powers clicks?
2. Are the clicks left powers as effective as they were, but just more of a PITA because they're not auto?
3. Has Willpower made Regen obsolete?
4. Is Regen powers like SR in that you really need to take basically all of them?
5. Are certain primaries most ideally suited for Regen?
What was the rationale for taking it away?
Did other power sets lost it too?
I admit, Energy was on my short list for a smaller primary, but maybe it shouldn't be.
Yes, I understand the argument for a corruptor, but I want a defender so as to be able to exempt as far downcascpossible, and still have my core Kin powers.
Any ideas how to build this w/o spending crazy money?
Any ideas how to most effectively build this out?
*And no, I don't want a corruptor becausw I want to be able to exempt down as far as possible and still have my core Kin powers*
I realize that this probably isn't the optimal Stalker combo (as an aside, what is?), but I really like it for concept reasons. How can I make it the most kickass it can be?
Anyone play this combo at high levels? I was thinking of making an Inv/Staff tank to combine the +Res of Inv with the +Def of staff, but some are telling me that Willpower would actually be a better choice.
Thoughts?
I'm thinking of SM/Inv.
My theory is that the bloodlust mechanic should combine with fury to equal.a bevvy of cumulative goodness. Has anyone proven this to be true or disproven it?
If so, can you please share your build? I thought of making one because,:
1. Even though a great many people have maxed defense these days, most don't have maxed resistance.
2. -Resistance would (In theory anyway) prove useful against a giant monster or AV (or am I wrong about that?)
I was thinking further about your comments and the idea of Trick Arrow is appealing because I could stay at range for everything. What secondary(ies) pair best with it?
Yes, I know /Energy has come good up close attacks, but I have several toons that can chase things. I want something that can reach out and touch the enemy no matter how far. I want a super-powered sniper basically.
Thanks for such an articulate reply!
I am actually working on. Kin/Ice now, and this is thr philosophy I want to take. Do you by chance have a build that can optimally accomplish this?
