Having down time between Shadow Meld's is leaving you a bit open, none of your defenses actually hit the 45% Softcap without SM going, which isn't such a great thing. Shadow Meld is better served as a safety net than a driving force to your survival, it eats into your DPS while you're attacking something like an AV, and its animation time locks you down for a long time (9-15/s every minute, you're burning 19-25% of your play time activating one non-enemy-impacting power). Do you have stealth suppression turned on? Hide won't be giving 8+% defense while you attack, if I flip suppression on your build's defense plummets to 38% for F/C/E/N.
Same rule kind of goes for Melee Core, good for situational buffering, but that power is a 2 up 2 down (minutes) and is primarily impacting everything but S/L for what it can. I'd sooner scrap Melee Core on a Stalker and get Assault Core instead as it will add much more in the form of aggressive damage boosting.
The following build is Offensive 'On', 73% S/L Resist and 46% F/C/E/N Defense (with Hide suppressed), Assault Hybrid swapped in. Build doesn't really need Ageless but it does give a bit of extra recharge for perma-ing Hasten; maybe Rebirth Radial wouldn't be a bad alt option to keep constant high levels of Regen going. I find it intriguing that Rending Flurry looks to do more damage than Hemorrhage, not sure how the Frenzy consumption on either of those powers impacts their final values.

Cheers for this got both sav/shield and sav/bio at 50 will try both now 👌🏽
-
Savage / bio ? Seen a good savage / shield build but the lack of heal put me off, I was thinking of going bio instead and using shadow meld, because the meld can be up every 25 seconds for 15 seconds and then use absorb sheild inbetween then, but not seen anyone mention sav/bio in the forums
-
Also interested 👌🏽
I was considering Bio/Shield, but the lack of self heal and the need to rely on the incarnate heal wa putting me off, im
torm between these two options myself.
Im not sure about the slotting in genetic contamination with those fortuna’s but I’m guessing that’s just for the bonus as I’ve no idea how it works on stalker with sleep 🧐

@Arctyc @Mistforged The build has been available this whole time right over here. 😄
Mid's won't reflect the Leadership buffs correctly that Tankers got, but I can tell you F/C/E/N will be 45%. Make sure you turn Jab "off" too. I ran the build through +3/4 groups, herded Monsters on Monster Isle in Peregrine Island, the works, and never turned Offensive off and did just fine. If it were ever felt warranted, you'd always have the other two "forms" to work with. Built and tested both Tanker and Brute so I could see their DPS scaling and killed a lot of Pylons in the RWZ.

Oh, and don't be fooled by the raw recharge numbers in there. The attack chain for both is KO Blow > Punch > Haymaker > Gloom > Punch, once the cycle starts up the FF+Rech procs stacked in two attacks will ensure you spend a ton of time under the +100% buff. Footstomp spammed in groups of 8-10 will also go off a lot too. Never, ever, EVER put Rage on auto fire, only activate the second stack AFTER the crash expires. The second swing of Rage will pop with the Gaussian's and give you that bonus 80% buff for 5/s, which is enough to get most of the attack chain in. With Hybrid Assault Core turned on it's possible to get close to Tanker damage ceiling in that brief window. Also, do not stop attacking during the Rage crash, the procs in each attack will still net ~150 DPS.
And the best part about all that? I'm working on a build that may hopefully have even more raw power 😆
Just noticed your end comment about adding more damage, I wait with bated breath 😂👌🏽

It is a very good set. In full transparency, it's held together by Savage Leap and Rending Flurry and if these were not the MASSIVE AoEs that they are on a Tanker there would not be much else to draw you to it. The recent Tanker buffs put in top tier for Aoe damage.
Admittedly, there's no inherent synergy with dark armor other than blood frenzy providing the endurance discount, but it will do that for any primary. Blood Thirst is a weaker than average source of +dmg, so I see sheild being a good pairing as to leverage AAO. Shield charge, Savage leap, Rending Flurry will make Blasters feel obsolete.
I’ve got a stalker sav/shield, also considering savage/ bio, and or the aforementioned on tank, realy
not sure which to make 🤔🤔🤔🤔I tried making a savage/bio stalker build but my head got lost, managed a savage/ shield stalker though.
I spend too much time in mids as I’m not very good at it 😂

Anyone got a savage / bio build ? I’m torn between savage / shield and the aforementioned 🤔

I know this post is old but I thought I'd chime in incase anyone is still reading.
I play bio armour a LOT. Its strength doesn't lie in its resistance, defence or even regeneration. Its absorption.
Recent updates have scrapers and stalkers secondaries almost identical in effect and their hp as evened out too.
I'm on mobile so cant post a mids build but getting smashing and lethal defence capped isn't needed. Get it to 20%. Fire and cold cap and energy/negative to 40%. The reason for this is both scrapers and stalkers share patron pools, in this case soul mastery, which has shadow meld. A cashless +30% defence to all for 15 seconds on a 90 second cool down. So from slots it's at 45s, get your global recharge to 100% and its 30s. So it's up half the time.
While it's up, your untouchable to even AVs. While it's down you can use 2 separate absorb shields giving you 2 helpings of 1300hp. That means for those 15 seconds you have 3600 health to fall on, not counting regeneration of DNA healing.
I'm building a Stj/bio stalker on reunion currently, just started slotting ATOs at lvl 50 today. On test it was happily soloing council solo on +4*8 at about 30s a mob. Not the fastest but the PBAoE is tiny! I'm still adapting his rotation but I can already stack buildup to make that PBAoE 1 shot red minions.
I main a TW/bio scrapper who has walked through PI, DA, Cimerora, Grandville missions on max difficulty solo including all the AVs and most Heroes, Mynx is still a pain! Stalkers Stj is about half as good at AoE but ST is about even, possibly higher in prolonged 1v1 beatdowns thanks to -res, build up continually coming up and reliable crits.
My stalker hasn't unlocked VET on live so I cant accurately compare them on everything but survival wise that are fairly even with bio giving some CC instead of the DoT from corruption.
With STJ’s aoe being so small. What do you think to a savage melee / bio ? I am about to roll my first stalker and im
dead set on using savage as it sounds great for ST and aoe, my only quandary now is determining my secondary, shield and bio seem to be the two contenders from what I’ve read so far. I have a Savage / shield build, but I havnt managed to make anything savage/ bio wise, clueless how to do it on a stalker. Do you have a savage / bio I could look at? The whole absorb / shadow meld idea seems neat, just like shield with incarnate heal looks, but more reliable due to shorter cd’s.

My stalker is a teleporter and I've made a macro that targets to my target. It makes it easy to leap on the boss's head* and unload however I want - aoe if there's a big cluster, a big single target hit if it's just the boss who needs attention, whatever is most useful.

*unless there's a vertical gap, or they're up some stairs; that can screw up the macro, and then I have to jump up and use it.
What macros do you use for targeting could you share ?

Try it with Titan weapons or super strength if you think claws is good 😛

I made one small change. I swapped one of the set bonuses in genetic contamination for the superior tanker IO that gives resistance on proc. That reliably gives 13% res to all in combat. Where as the sacrifice was 2 point so of damage and some end reduction from genetic contamination and the 2.5 res bonus to smash and lethal. Found it makes me a lot more surviveable.

The Tanker buff was a 90/90 split Survival/Damage Brute/Tanker. At the point of having double stacked Rage and all that damage packed in, they’ll be dishing out comparable damage and honestly whatever you’d have to do on the Tanker will likely happen within the same number of attacks on a Brute just because of overkill. That Footstomp will still be just a hair under killing that minion in the first hit, but will be drastically over on the second.
Having tested both a Brute and a Tanker on a high end SS build, they’re ridiculously close. In fact, about 90-94% comparable (imagine that 😄 ), and when it comes to something like soloing an AV, we’re talking the difference of 10/s to kill. The line between the two ATs is pretty blurry with Super Strength.
Brutes do have a higher ceiling than Tankers, but the only way you’re going to hit it is with outside help, or snacking on a lot of red inspirations constantly. Also, the Tanker buffs gave a good push to Tanker AoE effects and Taunt mechanics improving their ability to grab and hold aggro. Personally I’d say go Tanker, it’ll be easier to hit your survival values, and you’ll still be hitting like a freight train.
Edit to clarify one point: Fury is bringing the Brute up to a “normalized” value, their starting point at zero fury is pretty abysmal.
Damn I didn’t see this before I just made one myself and bought all the stuff, cold you post your version so I can see how mine compares ? Thanks for the reply 👌🏽

Yes, significantly more.
I usually 2 slot my stamina and put a Performance Shifter + end and Performance Shifter End Mod to get the 2piece bonusIn the case of Bio Armor and a number of other sets with an extra passive end regen power you can slot a second Performance Shifter + end IO to get double duty on the proc. If you were to get the Physical Perfection from the Energy Mastery Epic Pool you could slot a third one if you were really, really strapped for end
Hmmmm I’m going to make a new build when I get home from work and I’ll post it here, see what you think.
i recently made a SS/bio brute and am now being told I should of make a tank 🤬 still waiting for confirmation on why on the post. But if it turns out the tank will be a lot better I’ll have to re roll and completely rebuild it :’(
where was the perf slotted in bio? I have taunt in DNA siphon.
the tanker thread (if you have any input) was arguing whether or not the 180-200% fury adds enough damage to warrant going brute. When tanker has a higher base damage anyway and both get double rage.
so the maths question is:
is 200% (maxes fury) + 160% (double rage) on brute with base modifier 0.75 worth taking on brute
V.S
160% on tank with base modifier 0.95.
the trade off being
tank: higher aoe caps, better -res from primary attack and offensive adaption and higher survive.
brite: 200% damage from fury 😕 having. Just written it down I feel like tank wins but. Any suggestions welcome.

I don't understand what this means
Basically.
if I slot stamina fitness power with: ‘performance shifter + chance for end’
will I get more end than slotting it with an
’invention: endurance modification IO’

Panacea in Health since it is a unique
Put a second Performance Shifter +end in Inexhaustible since PS is not Unique
Would one performance shifter + chance yield more total end than a 50+5io?

If you're considering SS, always. always. always. go Tanker.
You get the +damage that will get you very close to high-fury brute.
Brute will suffer because of low damage caps, to where Rage won't improve your DPS too much overall when all is said and done.
Wording may be off here, but the numbers indicate that the damage difference is minimal if not favoring Tanker, and survivability is definitely also favoring Tanker.
Hmmm, I definitely agree that the survival is better 10000% but how can the damage be the same if the brute gets 180-200% damage bonus from fury ontop of the 160% from double rage? I know the tankers base damage is higher, but it’s not higher than the bonus from fury ? :S

Posting what I posted on the tank forum because I’m stuck between this set on a tank or a brute.
Going to attempt to build one when I get home from work. Anyone got an existing build I can alter to my preferences so I’m not starting from scratch (never made a tank before) 😄 cheers.
also can’t work out whether or not with the recent changes to the base damage modifier on tank making it 0.95 means I’d be better of rolling a tank vs a brute with the same skill sets. On one hand the brute gets the 180% average damage bonus ontop of his 0.65 base modifier, but on the other hand the tank has the 0.95 and extra target caps and more -res from the offensive adaption, anyone fancy weighing in ?
Rage will be easily doubled with 160% recharge (which I can get easily ) so both builds have that going for them.
BIo also benefits greatly from a higher health benefit, pool making its absorb shields and regen magnitudes better prior to enhancing.
I think it might come down to ATO options in the end, as brute ones are not that great and from what I’ve read tanks get a pretty meaty one that’s gives 15% res to all

I was literaly thinking about using this and swapping to defensive afaption to litigate the double rage crash, I’m bad at making builds thought I’ll check this one out
I also don’t know how double rage works. Do you use rage (2:00 duration 4:00 cooldown, then use it again when it’s cooldown with say 200% recharge meaning it’s back up after one minute so you crash every minute ? Or, do you get 4 minutes of rage then 20 second crash at the end )
