That's a surprise. The game is supposed to at least check if the leader is actually eligible.

Edit: This may actually need to be reported as a bug.

Perhaps.  I'm going to test it a bit first, just to make sure it wasn't some fluke.  Software developer IRL, so I kinda have to 😄

  2. Apologies if this has been suggested before.

The Crystals in Ouroboros should only make available missions for which all players on the team are eligible.

Last night I tried to do Reason To Fight in a two-man team, but I was missing a pre-requisite.  The Crystal gave me the mission and sent me to the contact, and once we started our team got broken.  There was no indication that this would happen, no warning, no nothing.  Just "Poof - no more team for you!"

If the game can detect that I'm not eligible to be in the mission once I'm there, it can detect that I'm not eligible for the mission ahead of time.

I must be obtuse because I don't get this at all.  If I'm on and see a global friend I want to run with or chat with, I just send a tell.

    1. Not everyone is comfortable taking that approach.
    2. "Open to walk-ups" is the opposite of "Do Not Disturb", but the absence of a "Do Not Disturb" tag on a toon is not the equivalent of the presence of an "Open to walk-ups" tag on a toon.  There is a middle ground.
    3. If you don't see the need for this feature, fine - don't use it (if it gets implemented).

What I don't get is people looking at this request and arguing that it should not be done because they wouldn't use it, even though (obviously) there are some who would.

Not sure what is accomplished by the OP that isn’t accomplished by hide options, yes. If I don’t want to receive tells from certain people, I use those options.

All of those options are of the "Don't Bother Me" variety, and they assume that everyone will interpret a lack of "Don't Bother Me" as an invitation to contact.

That assumption is incorrect.  I know for a fact - having discussed it with them - that some of my in-game friends are reluctant to ping me if I'm teamed, or in an SG base.  I have told them "If I'm on, ping me - if I'm busy, I'll say so", but still.

I'm suggesting the ability to make a more affirmative declaration of "Feel free to contact me, even though I look busy."

THAT is "what is accomplished by the OP that isn’t accomplished by hide options".

  5. Hi, all!  I'm working on an Elec/Elec tanker.  My Energy Resistance is 131% at the moment, which I know is too high - I need to trade some of that for Smash/Lethal and maybe Fire/Cold.

Problem is, I don't know MIDS well enough to use it to find what enhancements are pushing my Energy resistance so high, and playing "trial and error" with my slotting is not an appealing prospect.

Am I missing something in the MIDS tool?  If so, can someone please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

Couldn't you do something like create a macro, which has the desired costume name, and both performs a costume change emote and changes you into the desired costume.  Sure, it'd get cutoff if the name is long, but it basically serves the same purpose.  You can otherwise bring up the costume window pretty easily to see what costume is in which slot...

Sure, I could use that as a work-around.  I could do the same thing with power-sets, too.

Is there a way to bring up the costume window other than at a tailor?  If there is, I'm not aware of it.

  7. Disregard - in-game someone said that those bonuses only apply to enhancable powers.  The descriptions could certainly be improved...

    original question

    -------------------

I was playing in MIDS last night, and neither the Agility Paragons nor the Spiritual Paragons changed the recharge on Domination in the MIDS UI.  The recharge on other powers DID change.

Is that a MIDS issue?  Or do those Alphas not affect recharge on Domination?

  8. I've been reading Dominator builds, due to a recent flare-up of altitis, and I've noticed that almost all of them include Hasten with two IO recharge reducers for perma-hasten (or near, at least).  However, while playing around in MIDS, I was able to slot a Mind/Psi/Psi dominator to 138% recharge bonus without Hasten.

So my question is why do so many builds take Hasten, and if that's on auto-cast how do you make sure to throw Domination every time it's up?

    Thanks!
