I think I read somewhere that with trollers it best to aim for 45% def and anything more doesn't make much of a difference. Is that right? I know soft cap for res is 75%

Yeah poisonous Ray is very good. Would be pretty squishy though as won't be a great deal of resistance. Have to see how much value the damage it would add.

What about Arcane bolt added in? How did arcane bolt fare for you? I dont have any experience with the sorc pool so im not entirely sure how to work it or what benefits it has.

See I agree with that. If you have to use temp powers it kind of defeats the point. You need to be able to achieve it on your own merit. What do you feel doesn't work with your ill/dark/primal? I'm definitely going to give it a go and if it doesn't work out at least I have tried it.

Ah ok! May drop primal for Psi then at least will have access to Indom then. Haha isnt that half the fun of propel? Its a doorway to Ikea! Do you have any build suggestions? Edit - So after some consideration i have thought about primal and swapped a few things around to take power blast. How essential it will be in a rotation im not sure but Gravity Distortion > Lift > Power Blast > Propel > REPEAT Oh and i managed to fit in Dark Servant. I'm hoping that with the 33% def i have plus the -15% to hit from Darkest Night, then the additional -to hit from Servant it will be enough. After much deliberation i want some advice/opinions on how well we think Grav will fair against AV/GM. (Heavily inspired by @Frosticus and his Crazy Controller posts. Below is a build i have constructed for a Grav/Dark/Primal. Primal is taken mainly for power boost +fade. I havent been able to fit in dark servant and im not sure how much of a loss that will really be but im thinking significantly. If so im not entirely sure what power to drop to take him. Soft capped on S/L res and def is over 55% for all with the power boosted fade. I think then given what has been said i'm likely to get more mileage out of Dark/Fire than i am Fire/Dark. @oldskool How would you recommend building this?

Well @oldskool that is a considerable overview to digest, thank you! I liked the idea of both power combinations working in melee as both /Fire and /Dark seem to fit that more than being at range. Really if anything the dark/fire would work as brute as it would be pretty much the same principle. But then you lose out on the T9 PBAoE for those big damage numbers. The idea with torrent was to open up on a group and trigger to +rech proc and see how fast i could trigger the T9. Abyssal looks great, i just wish the hold duration was a bit longer! Life drain i find is always one of those powers that almost does too much so it either does one thing well or both things not so well. 🤷♂️ With the Fire/Dark i liked the idea of having multiple auras, Oppressive unfortunately doesn't get any dmg procs but that was my main reason for taking cloak of fear. I wanted to see how often both dmg procs would trigger and if so would that warrant the power, if not then id drop it. This idea continued on with Lightning field as well, if im in melee with dmg auras why not go all in. I do like the Dark epic set i just wish tentacles did more dmg similar to that of a def but oh well. Ideally id like both builds to be able to stand up to an AV and obviously handle regular content. Honestly im entirely torn and not sure which to run

Never really ran a Sentinel before so not really sure if either of the below builds are any good but here we go.
