I'm fairly new so please be gentle. Is there a sniper character - if so, how to I make one? Or is there just enhancements that are sniper items - if so what character would be best? I've search as much as possible but not knowing all the jargon, I don't understand most of what I read. Thanks....I love this game and am only sorry I didn't know about it until I was a 73-year-old grandma, lol.

Update: I added two other mods: cursor and font and they both worked. Still wondering why the maps won't work.

I deleted vidiotmaps in mods folder and all's well. I can log in again. Will just have to stick with the orig maps. Thanks again for all you help!!!!!!!!

Do should I just uninstall the whole program and reinstall? This error isnt' going away

Now I get the Fatal Error when I try to start it up. only the vidiotmaps in mods folder. Maybe I should just forget about this. I really wanted the maps but this is a lot of work for you...which I very much appreciate. Now I just need to know how to log in and make this error go away.

Installed Corrupted Mod - did not crash

Found "Show debug console" so checked it. When I went to open HC Launch, I got a black screen with text scrolling by fast then gone.

Not beta or prerelease - just the top choice: Homecoming. Don't know where to find "Show debug console" please be more exact. Wait for game to fully load the scroll all the way back to the top of the console window? You mean log in with my character and go to "menu"? what is the link to "Corrupted Mod..."?

I uninstalled all the maps then reinstalled Vidiomaps for Homecoming. That is the only one that shows in my assets/mod folder: hc_vidiotmaps. pigg When I start up HC and am in AP, the map is the old map - nothing new.

OK, it showed installed. When I start up the HC Launcher, I'm in Atlas Park and the same ole map shows.....no halloween stuff, etc. - nothing new in Skyway city either. This is frustrating!!!

My data folder is empty. So far halloween, winter and opt have installed - I'm waiting for Vidiot for Homecoming to show as Installed in the City Mod Installer. if it doesn't show up should I uninstall it then reinstall (with Add to Launcher: HC Launcher)?

Here's what I have. I can't see why the maps are not showing up when I launch HC. I just get the same ole original maps. I'm about to give up but really want those mods.

I uninstalled everything then reinstalled city of heroes. It went to C:\Games\HC. Now when I try to install the maps mod,.. This comes up when I Add to Launcher: : HC Launcher Launch parames contains -assetpath assets\mods already! and then it just stops - nothing after that command line. I checked the Settings on the Launch page. Went to Homecoming and "Extra launch parameters:" it's blank. So not sure why it's saying that. It never comes up with "hc_vidiotmaps.pigg Installed.

And here I sit....now what?

It always frustrates me when I'm told just click here yada yada, but when I do, it doesn't work and is not simple. I downloaded the CityModInstaller.zip and extracted it. It seems the exe file is being rejected by my computer as a suspicious file so the only thing I have is two folders: x64 and x86 but no CoHModdingTool.exe file. So now what?

Can I use two monitor and only have the Map/mission/contacts etc on the 2nd monitor? I see people mention using two monitors but haven't been able to find how to set it up. I'm new to this so any high techy help will be over my head so please be easy on me. Thanks
