Before the secret servers shut down, they had only a couple thousand playing. Now we have 4 full servers and a queue of 1000 waiting on each server. So that's 3 or 4k per server if you include the queue. No one could have predicted this resurgence. And Im a CoH noob who always regretted not playing. Ive played pretty much every MMO that has come out since 2007, including foreign ones. So, this game not only has the vets who want to come back, but noobs like me. And then we have former players who may not even know these servers are out or they cant figure out to find the DL for the game. So every one should be prepared: the next few weeks will be rocky af as more and more come here to play. Every one just needs to be patient. You all waited 7 years. You can wait a some more. The last thing we need is to discourage the server mods and managers. Let's all just relax.

Also, the reason is because youre taking up server space. I take a looooooong time to make a character sometimes. It's not fair that I eat up queue space for an hour or more just making costumes and what not.

Amen. I wish i could go back in time to when WoW didnt have these dumbed down classes that only have 5 offensive skills at level 120 and the lack of talent trees. I wish i could go back to when Rift was new and amazing. I didnt raid or do dungeons. I alt hopped so much i still dont have a class at max on Rift. I would go back and raid raid raid. Get geared and have fun. If these servers stay up and Cryptic doesnt attack us, Im going to play CoH right!

Yikes. This game has made me even more bitter towards the state of gaming today. The customization is unrivaled other than the lack of face sliders and body sliders (although the body sliders and pre made faces are far better than many MMOs even today). This game is a reminder of where games were headed during the very early 2000s. The ps2 and xbox original era, if you will. We thought we were heading towards an even greater gaming renaissance. It seemed like virtual worlds were you were immersed big time were about to go in to over drive. It seemed that player choice was going to be a thing that actually mattered. Remember in Morrowind how you could stab people in the back, keep stuff for yourself, set up NPCs for failure, etc? Then one day, games became about muh 60FPS and graphics and PvP online. I hope to god these servers stay up. This game is amazing. And who knows, maybe Cryptic will allow us to add in even more character face options. Cryptic, thus far, has said they are turning a blind eye to our existence. Bless them. And I dont think Cryptic and PWI are going to throw a bitch fit because Champions Online is so dead there are times where there are less than 300 people online. So this game isnt stealing players away. That game was dead af a looooong time ago.

EVERY MMO has issues like this at first or after a big ass update. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Also, I didnt lose my toon when i got stuck in the door during the great door-eating of characters today.

If you were logged in when the new servers went up, you can continue to play. If you logged in after, or logged out or switched chars and then tried to get back in, the servers are down for you. They are probably integrating the new servers in. It's essentially an emergency maintenance thing.

Are you 2 serious right now? They just added 2 servers TODAY. Not during a patch or maintenance. So now theyre down to get things squared away. It's 2019. Why do people STILL make posts about how they hope the issues are fixed and blah blah blah. Obviously this incredibly small team is dealing with something and getting in squared away. lol.

I dont know why you dont understand why people want that. If there is a designated pvp server, than people have a designated place to.. ready for this...? PVP. It puts a community together of like minded people. Same with RP.

I am beyond excited to have a queue! The game is alive. IT'S ALIIIIVE!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA YEESSSSSS... *ahem* sorry. Got a lil excited there. Dude. Be glad there is a queue. Im sure we will get servers as needed. But think about this logically. The hosts have to see who is really going to stick it out. No point in having 12 servers only to find out in 3 weeks we only need one now. Maybe adding a 3rd server is a good idea. But, in the mean time; be glad there are enough people to even have a queue. Im in law enforcement and have FOUR, yes FOUR kids. Trust when i say i dont have a lot of time to play either lol. But this isn't a high budget game like WoW where it is inexcusable to have problems. Just relax and accept what we have right now. Could be worse. We could have NO CoH at all. Ill take a queue time. Hell, the only reason im here is cuz i got booted out in char creation. I spent like an hour on my char, got logged out. Now i have queue again lol. But it's fine. Im still too hyped to be mad about glitches or queue times.

I searched and didnt find a post about this, so i dont know if it's a new issue or not. But i made a new char on praetoria and the "Destroy 1 clockwork" mission is bugged. No icon nor clockwork shows up on the map. Cant abandon mission and cant go inside building underneath the nearby bridge. Some in help chat said they did the tutorial just fine but several in chat reported same issue as Im having. If this is a known issue, I apologize for the repost.

The p2w vendor (called something else in praetoria i believe) offer you several sprint options, including ninja runs. I believe there are like 7 or something. Wish we could change the colors of them though. There is also a steam jetpack and traditional jetpack. Both offer 30 seconds of flight at a time. Pretty neat. Last, there are a couple of melee/ranged attacks and like 5 enhancements. Best part is if you dont like something, the vendor has a revoke option. I thought the staff was an actual staff, for example. But it has some steampunkian gear on it. Looked stupid on my character. Revoked it for the axe.

Interesting. So is there a way to not be a hero or villain and do missions for both sides without doing the Rogue expansion first?

Aww. I wanted to make Susanoo. The Japanese Storm/trickster god who also wields a famous katana :( Im surprised hybrids werent a thing considering how in depth this game is. Even abysmal champions online allows hybrids.

So, Ive been googling and cant find a definitive answer on whether we can make a hybrid character such as an archetype using ice melee combined with ranged powers of ice-ranged archetype Furthermore, what about using claw melee and also having ranged gun archetype? Sorry, I missed out on COH when it was officially out, sadly. The wiki pages dont seem to give definitive answers. It's more of just lists of powers. Ok last question: If I play going rogue, when i hit level 20, does that mean when I go to Primal Earth i get to restart the story of the base game as a "rogue" and do both hero and villain missions?
