Porche started following MSR PopMenu
-
I am putting up my current MSR Pop menu that I use on Everlasting for the daily 7pm Mothership raid. I have been leading this raid for I think its 8 months now and after a lot of adding and pruning this PopMenu is what I have ended up with. There are also plenty of training callouts for newbies which I often have on my raids. Note that due to me being annoyed with the league bugs and instances, I do not run my raids as instanced. All of the recruitment messages are written based around the non-instanced raid. If you prefer to run instanced, edit the messages or add a section. update: I have added in variants of all my callouts for instances as well! Nearly everything will go to league chat except the recruitment callouts which note what channel they use and the wrap-up call out which uses broadcast, mostly because by the time I hit it half the league has already left. Originally this was based on an older Chaos United (Everlasting) MSR menu that I swear I got off of City Modder but can't find anymore. It doesn't look anything like it anymore but credit to where it got started. Update Nov 26,2024: Even more streamlined layout and callouts. There are some excellent guides to popmenus here on this forum but in brief there are two steps: In your Homecoming installation directory copy the attachment to the sub folder: \data\texts\<Language>\menus\ Then launch the game and in game you can do the following command to create a button: /macro MSR "popmenu MSR" When you hit that button the menu will pop up and you can select options. I am still running mostly non-instanced but in large part its because I do not trust the league system at all. Anyone who has used league a lot knows it is way buggier than you would think. Forming the entire raid and then going into an instance can cause serious bugs, Good that it worked for you but as a raid leader doing these regularly it is a problem that we have to deal with. It can form consistently with minimum bugs if we form it and then pull people in. The barker that some use is because the raid leader is in the instance so they cannot broadcast to the RWZ broadcast channel. We don't do it because we think its funny, we do it because it is necessary. We send to LFG and General like normal, but people are STILL showing up in RWZ and asking where is the raid. I have had to direct more than a couple to send a tell like the LFG message said to.

It should pair very well with most powers. The slotting of the defensive powers wouldn't need to change and the attack slotting is straightforward with focusing on the best set bonuses to resists. The overcap on defense gives you a lot of wiggle room to change things up while still having very high defenses and resistances.

I want to nominate the amazing @ChiliBear of Everlasting! The favorite bear who everyone knows, he runs events and TFs, leads the 7:30 MSR, and can be found at nearly every event. He found me in PocketD, dragged me around to meet what seemed like half of the server, and led to a big majority of the friendships I have developed on Everlasting. Everyone knows its him when he calls out He donates regularly to player run events, appropriately he put in 23 billion inf into donates for bountys and constume prize pools for 2023. During MSRs, he does a player spotlight on different people, letting everyone know the good things they are doing for the community and helping the place feel welcoming to new players. For a while right after the licensing announcement as new players flooded in he hung out handing people free money to get started. He has recently been injured and in the hospital, and when I get on, I have to field many questions from people wanting an update on how he is doing and if he is feeling better. He has pushed himself to still occasionally make it back and lead events despite the pain (And my admonishments to take his pills and that we can cover for him) and the outpouring of love for him is amazing.

This is my current build used by Porche of Chaos United on Everlasting. I figure I should share what I have done since I have benefited a lot from other's build guides and guidance. Its the result of about a year of active play and a couple of revisions on my first ever level 50 main. It can tank 4-star ITF, and its balanced all-around protections make it capable of handling any enemy group in the game without holes. As always if you have suggestions or questions let me know. Pros: Positional defenses are soft capped naturally All resists at about 70% self-buffed Four different Mitigation buttons to cycle through (Rune of Protection, One WIth the Shield, Melee Core, Barrier Core) Capable of going AFK mid-pull in MSR raids and being fine Cons: A heavy defensive build means the Offense suffers Uncapped balanced resist means needing mitigation buttons to hit caps so a bit more active No self-heals or drains, don't expect to tank Hamidon Build Theory This is a build focused on balanced defenses. Although I could have capped certain resists, I instead chose to take a balanced approach and get everything up to a high level. The result is ~70% resistance across the board. This makes the build capable of handling ANY content without struggling. It can take on Freakshow as easily as Council and CoT. I have not had any I use the mitigation powers and cycle through them to maintain my resistance. Because Barrier Core Epiphany T4 lasts the full 2m with an effect that gradually loses power, we have a minimum of an extra 7% resistance. The same is true with Melee Core, which gives a minimum of +16% for an extra +23% resists, making for all practical purposes 90% resist all (Psi at 88%). All of this is self-buffed. Active Defense is our Status Protection, and it will refresh 11 seconds before it wears off, ensuring 100% uptime. Mitigation Buttons Rune Of Protection, +25% resist all, 10pt Status Protection One With The Shield, +45% resist all, 21pt Status Protection Melee Core, 16%-25% resists all (scaling with enemies) Barrier Core, 57%-7% Resists/Defense scaling down over the full duration Parry, +15 Melee Defense Pools Sorcery gives me my Movement power, a minor teammate buff, and Rune of Protection (Resist) as a big mitigation option. Fighting pool is pretty obvious for Tough (Resist) and Weave (Def) Leaping for Combat Jump (Def) Leadership for Maneuvers (Def) Energy Mastery gives me Conserve Power as an option if Endurance gets tight. Incarnates: Resilient Core to boost my resists Melee Core as a mitigation option Barrier Core as a Mitigation Option Degenerative for the -MaxHP Mighty Radial Final Judgement for the Knock up Cimeroran Lore for thematic reasons Endurance Use This build just sips endurance, All of the toggles and Active defense up uses only 1.02 End/Sec. I can freely use One With the Shield and the crash isn't even noticeable. Conserve Power lets you recover very quickly if you get drained. Strategy: I put Active Defense on Auto, this is our basic status Protections. I cycle through the defenses as they wear off. RoP, MeleeCore, RoP, OwtS, BarrierCOre, RoP, etc. Taunt and melee for area threat Shield Slam lets you move quickly if an ally is getting pressured, the KD from it gives you a few seconds to followup and lock in the aggro. I favor defensive builds with my Shield/BS main, took your build and adjusted it a bit to be closer to what I like, maybe give you some ideas. I dropped teleport pool entirely and replacing it with some additional skills from Shield. The changes I made to the sets were to capture more set bonuses for better resists. With resilient core paragon incarnate the resists are now between 65-81 except for Psi at 56. You are softcapped on defense at 57/46/46 Grant cover doesn't give you any bonuses but that 13% defense helps keep the squishies alive. You could swap this out for build up if you wanted more damage. You have three mitigation buttons as well. One with the shield, Melee Core Incarnate, and Barrier Core. With three you can cycle between them for constant uptime and resists that are more like 85-90. shieldelectank - Tanker (Shield Defense - Electrical Melee).mbd
