    Aaah, thanks.  Now I understand what @Oubliette_Red was meaning by "league" in context.  While it was Friday night, and on Excelsior, I'd not put it past folks to try that.

     

    And now the other servers are probably going to start a Saturday Night Synapse event tonight.  😁

     

    Be forewarned, the spawning of Babbages is staggered due to issues with Skyway not handling the release of multiple Babbages at the same time ending up in them not spawning at all. How it's work out for us is the League leader/co-leader will call out each team to exit their mission and the rest of the teams will hold until they are called on to exit their mission. This is how they guaranty each team spawns and nabs their Babbage to gather at the designated intersection. GSpawning and gathering them all together can take 10-20 minutes in itself.

    I love playing my Water/Poison Corruptor. Not sure how effective it is, but call it my 'Debuffet'. It was the second character I made after joining HC, but doesn't see the light of day much since the pandemic started, too worried that people would consider it's name 'Hemorrhagic Fever' inappropriate.

    It's not unheard of to have 2-3 full leagues running the Synapse with 1+ overflow league with those that join in just for the Babbage Brawl, last one I joined in on the Synapse, a second instance of Skyway was spawned. Pretty common for folks to drag out some Kronos Titans as well. It's a huge lag-fest. lol

    Babbage in Talos Island?

    Tonight I saw something I cannot recall seeing in 19 years:  a multiple robot attack with half of them Kronos and half Babbage.  In fact, I can't ever recall seeing Babbage in Talos Island, and it's one of my favorite hang out spots. 

     

    What triggers this kind of attack?

     

    League Synapse?

     

    I know Kronos can be forced to spawn outside of FF, perhaps a league running Synapse is using an Ouro to exit the second to last mission and dropping into Talos.

     

    AT/Build recommendation for NRG or Elec + Ice or Cold combo

    Greeting all you build wizards!

     

    I have a concept (just a name really) in mind but not sure what the best AT and combo would make for the most effective character. I am looking for something that uses a combo of Energy or Elec and Ice or Cold either as Primary or Secondary (ie Elec/Cold or Cold/Elec). I am also not limited to Blaster or Tank or CC, so any AT is game. I mostly team with friends but solo effectiveness/survivability would be handy.

     

    There are so many combos available that I find myself flummoxed as to where to even start, so any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

    Eh, I can see their point when it's their "signature" name that they've used for decades across multiple games. It's just "that one name" that they define themselves with as a player. I managed to get my namesake on all the servers, never gotten an email from anyone on the servers I don't generally play on and I may just delete three of them since unlike Legacy, I don't really play on multiple servers anymore.

    Exactly, as long as you have their name you can get their global. Though depending on the font you use it may be problematic, I've replaced mine with something easier to read and is usually a serif font so cap 'I's and lowercase 'l's can be differentiated.

    Honestly, if inspiration is needed there are plenty of public domain resources available. Just for gits & shiggles I went to https://comicbookplus.com/ , a veritable warehouse of public domain comics, books and old time radio to look for inspiration. I perused through a couple of random comics and the first story in the second comic I paged through was about a town that suffered complete destruction every 100 years, by flood, fire and tornados and the only structure to remain standing was the clock tower.

     

    The tower had been built by a clockmaker and was beloved by the community for his talent and generosity. He was a alchemist and experimented in his lab and when a drought struck the village who else to blame but the clockmaker so a mob ran him out of town, burning his home to the ground. The clockmaker placed a curse on the village that every 100 years on the anniversary of his death the village would be destroyed. And as every century rolled by, on the same day when the clock reached 2:29 in the afternoon, calamity stuck.

     

    The story inspired me to make a Symphony/Time controller based on the title of the story: Knell of Doom

    Error: 'CantFindMap (316257)'

    Left the Tutorial and got Prince Kiros Nandelu as a contact.

    First mission: Arrest all gang members

     

    When I attempted to enter the mission map, I got kicked back out to Atlas Park with the following popup.

    "CantFindMap (316257)" [Ok]

     

    Clicked [Ok] and clicked on the mission door again and loaded in without issue. Perhaps a hiccup in loading the instance map the first time around.

    I had exactly 2 "homage" characters back on Legacy. Sorro the Spay Blade - A dual blade veterinarian on Virtue, and a Grammaton Cleric when Dual Pistols came out. I already had a 100+ characters across multiple servers before they came into being because I wanted to play my own creations. Ever since I started buying comics in the early 80's Wolverine had always been my favourite character but I never even thought to recreate or attempt a homage of him in the game.
