I had pretty good results from ShareX, it is free, and has really good reviews.  I used it to capture video from websites, not gameplay though, so not sure if it will do what you want, but can always give it a try.

You can get it through Steam or direct.

Interesting, I did not know it was on Steam as well. I've never used it for screen recording, but I really like it for taking screenshots.

  2. Or have a P2W option to automatically list salvage stacks of 10 for an amount of influence I choose. Soon as I have ten common salvage, immediately list it for X influence. For me that number would be one so it sells quickly.

edit: This would also have the added benefit of potentially making salvage prices crash, which could be fun to watch play out.

Here's the crux of what I said.  I'm in the camp of sure if it's tailor-able to the users preference sure what do I care what another wants to filter especially if its quick to enact by the dev team.  But I really don't see it being as easy as snapping your fingers problem solved.  There's tools already in place to help mitigate your user experience, this might just be a bigger rabbit hole than might be feasible.

I doubt anything like this would be as easy as snapping fingers, I don't disagree. As for how difficult or worth dev time, no idea. Since we're not demanding anything I don't really factor in dev time at all, they'll know better than me how much time they are able and willing to invest in a particular project and if they want to do it at all.

No offense ever taken!  Lets be clear where I stand on free and open communication.  I'm for free communication to the max!   There's one word I detest and it is that very word yet it seems to be propagated more by the very culture that it was meant to demean, bit ironic I'd say.  Even this word I would not like to be banned, I'd rather the stigma of its use determine its fade.  But there will always be a replacement word for that to be offended by either by from edgy folk or plain mean spirited people.

Which brings us to the N-word you saw.  Certainly there's a profanity filter that would bleep out that word and if someone was determined to have it seen how many variations could they use to get around the filter?  So you say you'll be able to program in on your own every iteration of verbiage that you don't like, what if someone gets around your programming?

What happens if while in their attempt to create this new chat system something gets broken?  There's a chess channel on Youtube I enjoy on occasion, this channel was penalized recently because the algorithm registered a pattern that it was programmed not to like.  This channel talks about nothing but chess and all its strategy and yet because there's a white and black side and the phrase "white side may be winning" might have been uttered it got suspended.......What are we doing?!

Again this is from my perspective on the matter but I'd say turn on your filters and since you'll be subjected to chat outside of yourself be prepared to get the good with the bad.  Tell whoever said the n-word to chill out and if it upset you so just take a break, grab a snack or something.

Your YouTube example is really doing something different than what is being asked for here. The OP is asking for the ability to filter their own experience only, not an automated ban system like YouTube is using. I think people being able to set their own filters for what they do and don't want to see is a great idea. That way if they don't want to see someone say 'fuck' but don't care if someone says 'shit' that is possible so long as they are willing to go through the trouble of setting it up and customizing it.

And if something is broken in the attempt then HC would do what normally happens when software breaks, roll back the change and/or fix it.

I was wondering if they still have rikti invasions and alerts like they used too? (I used to like it around halloween when zombies would spawn all over the place). Either way I look forward to revisiting Paragon City. Champions Online is boring.

Yes those still happen. I can't find it, but there is some sort of schedule of various events that will be run throughout this month. I'm pretty sure it's part of the log in message when you get in game. If I can find it here on the forums I'll share the link.

I didn't get a chance to get to know Sijin, but I hope myself, and the other new GMs can help fill the gap left by those that are stepping back.

I think yall will do great! But part of being a GM is sending me 3 billion influence a month for overhead costs. Now some people may make claims like I'm 'lying' or 'making stuff up' or that I'm an 'idiot' but ignore them. They are unreasonable with their relentless logic and fact based opinions. I'm simply letting the new GMs know about tribute overhead costs of running a functional forums and game servers. You know, to help out or something like that.

  7. Gave Far Cry 5 another shot the last few days, and I just don't think it is very good. Still haven't finished Doom Eternal, FF7 Remake, and I just started The Last of Us(first one), so I haven't been able to settle on another game recently.

Has anyone else lost all desire to play anything else since CoH is back? Steam sale is on. Want Borderlands 3 and Doom: Eternal but all ... meh ... I can wait until all the DLC is bundled. Fired up Fallout 4 the other night (over 3000 hours) and lasted 10 minutes. It's CoH all the time nothing else now.

    I really missed this game.

If you can get Borderlands 3 edition with all the DLC for a good price I say go ahead and pick it up now. I do think waiting to play it is a good idea though since the developers seem to be constantly tweaking the endgame and things seem to still be changing rapidly at this point. Plus there is one more planned big DLC and each one so far has raised the level cap which almost completely negates all the gear you grinded for previously. Which isn't the worst thing in the world, but the timing of me hitting the endgame and huge patches shortly after in BL3 and Division 2 has made me a little shy on loot based games.

But Doom Eternal is just fucking awesome.

In general, the intention is as follows:

    Damage

        Scrapper > Brute > Tanker
        Scrapper 10 out of 10
        Brute 9 out of 10
Tanker 7 out of 10 (recent changes may push this closer to 😎

    Survivability

        Tanker > Brute > Scrapper
        Scrapper 7 out of 10
        Brute 8 out of 10
        Tanker 10 out of 10

However the story is much more nuanced.

    •     Some archetypes may benefit from certain power sets more than others.
    •     During leveling, the differences are more apparent.
    •     At 50 though, with invention origin sets and incarnates, builds can close the gaps between archetypes. Brutes and Tanks could start to differ only at the extremes.

Apples to apples comparisons across all situations is daunting.

Highly advanced builds that leverage min/maxing or focus on procs can bend things even further from the general norms.

But that means each AT averages 8.5 and since Scrappers are what Chuck Norris wants to be when he grows up, clearly a tie is bad math.

2 DA missions down, 13 to go. Real question is whether I remain sober enough today to pull this off....

That depends. If drinks are a normal part of gameplay then that is something to account for. You just may need to rotate AT every mission instead of doing five and then switching. Also you can compare your times for each AT as you have more adult beverages. All for science of course.

I mean... hell... with all three amplifiers, envenomed daggers and my lore pets, my claws/bio scrapper pylon time is 1:24. That's ludicrous. Cheating to win is no way to look at game balance.

Oh shit, I need to try that on my WM/Bio Scrapper!

'Guess I'm just hopelessly "middle class" in my mind-set.... That strikes me as a huge waste of INF, even though I could afford it.

I'm just more apt to spend the time to convert to what I want than I am throw two or three times what the ATO is worth at the market.

The biggest factor is likely that I don't typically bid on stuff before my character is ready to use it, so at that point I 'need' it right then. The two or so characters in which I've bought early I have put in more patient bids. But if they didn't fill by the time I was ready to slot the enhancement then I start over bidding again.

People are actually paying you guys 20m for something that they could get from a pack that cost 10m + plus a handful of converters?

Damn. People be impatient, yo. XD

Yup. I don't put in the time and effort to build up my influence to then turn around and put in more time and/or effort when I want something. If there is one for sale and 20 million doesn't buy it, my next bid is 30 million.

Its not a bug, server is not robust marathon runners like live and WoW that can host thousands with no hiccups. Slow down and be patient, its a bitch but there is not a lot of resources on a game that needs donations to run with a team of unpaid volunteers.

Yeah I agree, if I recall correctly the reason it behaves like this is because they wanted to prevent it getting hammered with so many requests at once constantly, which it used to do under original development.  This change occurred to prevent that.

Having every player bid 1 inf to get the information to come up is forcing everyone into a coding problem workaround.  What if it sent it only once every 5 seconds, with a queue?  I have no info on the code in this regard.

Amy sources for these claims that it's not a bug and/or intentional?

There are times, I am trying to buy a set of enhancements for one of my many alts, but when I finally get the first item, it lists no price, says unavailable, but if I click on the one below, it may say the same thing, but if I go back and forth, then I start getting the sales history, could this bug be fixed?

    Thank you

    Sue

I agree, it is a rather irritating bug and I'd love for it to to fixed. Also the last 5 displaying the incorrect price should be fixed as well. Miracle Uniques do not cost 9-18 million.

    Hey,

So today I accidentally bid 50,000,001 instead of 5,000,001 for a Luck of the Gambler. It would be really nice if a warning box could pop up if our bids are much higher than the recent bids - I know many others lose inf this way. I lost almost all my influence.

    Thank you!

I'm all for this idea. However, I think fixing the last 5 display bug is at least as much a priority since that is just flat out giving people bad information and causing billions in overbids.

But again, yes I'm all for this. Ignore the people being negative, mistakes happen.

I did not imply that you are an idiot, I called the idea an "idiot label" because that's the generic term used for labels directed to people who do some foolish things that with common sense would be avoided. I find these labels and "warnings" to be annoying. I don't want to have a popup menu that I would have to click through every single time that my bids were higher than average (for example, buying a "cheap" Adjusted Targeting then buying a movement/end Hami-O will be quite a gap and thus prompt this popup menu from your suggestion). Perhaps, you meant that it was optional, and there were far more significant details to include in this suggestion that were left out, which I would be more "supportive" and less critical of the idea.

While yes, I get the arguments for it, you have to realize that at the end of the day this idea is permeated in carelessness in most cases. Now I understand, occasionally the cat walks across the keyboard, a little one plays with the keyboard (and there are resources to get your influence back when these events do happen by request), but it's still asking the devs to take time away from potentially new content/fixing bugs to create a solution for your carelessness/ignorance of overbiding on the AH when in most cases (carelessly overbidding) if you just paid enough attention (making sure you're typing in the right amount before purchasing/selling an item) that wouldn't have been needed in the first place.

I never once said "Axer, you are an idiot" I called your idea an "idiot label."

    Ok Boomer
