Thank you so much for the math!!!
it looks like the -res from Sonic offer more consistent damage boost. And it benefits other in the team too.
-
So, roughly what is the range of % damage increase when envenomed blade activated?
-
Does any one know how the damage is calculated when this power is activated?
Don't understand the math here at all: https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=dominator_assault.martial_assault.envenomed_blades&at=dominator
Thank you!

For gits and shiggles, did another round. Same slotting/incarnates as the previous post, except this time used Tar Patch. Also used Dark Blast and Life Drain for Necro. The builds do not have Gloom or any of the Merc MM attacks.
Mercs:
2023-09-11 19:41:20 [NPC] Commando: He's dog meat.
2023-09-11 19:42:29 You have defeated Rikti Pylon1m9s/69s = 684dps. In 69s, damage procs triggered 141 times. Average of 2 procs every second!
Necro:
2023-09-11 19:28:41 [NPC] Lich: Once I finish Rikti Pylon, I may just come after you, NecroGKTest.
2023-09-11 19:29:43 You have defeated Rikti Pylon1m2s/62s = 746dps. In 62s, damage procs triggered 86 times.
Also these builds are not fully IO'd. They are pet test builds, most of the secondary powers are not slotted except for Darkest Night and Twilight Grasp. Could probably tighten up the T7 cooldown, add the other MM attacks. Maybe an alternate secondary. I think Sleet, Slowed Response, Freezing Rain, Acid Mortar etc all provide a higher -res debuff than Tar Patch. Both Mercs and Necro can probably get sub-60sec pylon times.
Also I tossed Ghost Widow and Trap of the Hunter procs into Lich because I could fit them for testing. They're not really worth it. Between both Necro runs, GW activated 7 times; TotH activated once.
I have:
Lady G and Archilles' in GK.
SB BU and Cloud Senses in SE.
Could Senses in Lich.
Still debating whether to proc personal attacks. Does anyone know if that temp pet proc well?
-
What are the (theoretical) differences between EM and DB?
My usual chain of EM is: From Hidden, TF(with hide proc), fast ET, Snipe, AS, fast ET again if it is up, Placate into Hide and start again.
-
There was a post where someone tested which heal and resistance procs can be slotted into the 1st and 2nd upgrade powers AND the pets will get the benefit of that proc (e.g one of the heal proc), and which ones have no effect.
Could someone help me to find it please?
Thank you. -
I have exactly just that when Homecoming first open its door. It was a poison/sonic. The Dev thought my character was too much of an IP risk and recostumed it.
Anyway, poison/sonic is thematic good for what you are asking. It is also functionally very good too, provided that you can survive at close melee range. Poison/dp is also good. Use Chen rounds.
-
Kin/Sonic: the best force multiplier. If you are playing Kin, you want a team. Why not do the most and makes everyone hits as hard as they can
-
I would recommend a Traps/Sonic as a Mater debuffer. On a fast recharge build, it does abandon amount of -res and -regen: two of the most valuable debuffs.
-
But which one is most synergistic with Poison?
I actually have a Poison/Sonic sitting at 50 for a long time. Originally I wanted to maximise the -res potential. Now I am debating whether the combine effect of +dam AND -res of a Kin/Sonic may serve the purpose better.
So now I am planning to level a new Poison but have been going back and forth on various secondary without settling on anyone yet.
Overall, which secondary can best take advantage of the debuff potential of Poison?

Short answer, the data says maybe. Holding all else equal:
Benumb (120 sec): -500% Regeneration for 30s (all affected targets)
Heat Exhaustion (120s): -500% Regeneration for 40s (all affected targets)
EMP Arrow (300 sec): -500% Regeneration for 45s (all affected targets)The challenge is the recharge time of EMP arrow. With IO's and Incarnates, Benumb and HE can get down to 60 sec cast times, meaning you can keep the AV under this debuff for about 50%, with other -regen debuffs making it close to perma. So unless TA has some serious -res powers to make up that extra regen time, it wouldn't handle it as well.
In which case, a classic Ill/Rad seems to offer a better deal when comparing to TA. -
Does the Controller version of EMP Arrow do -regen as well?
I have just noticed that only the Defender version does -regen as listed in the power info.
Can someone please help to verify.
Thanks.
-
A follow up question if I may: can TA handle hard content, AV or GM as well as those secondaries mentioned above?
-
Thanks! That looks rather good!
Time to save up and invest in all those IOs

Please help me to improve my Crabbermind build. It is almost perma pets but the Def and Res are not that good outside of Barrier.
I am not sure where to put the ATOs. So I am open to swapping them to other powers. I slotted as many pet auras as possible in order to keep them alive.
BIG THANKS!!!

How about TA? In its current form, it looks like a good match for Bots for fighting from a distance. It has -res, -dam, -dam, -rech, -speed, -special, -tohit and -regen (albeit on a long cool down).
It is a polar opposite of ff in the sense that TA is very active set. I have yet to test it extensively but I do look forward to this combo.
-
So in terms of -regen for dealing with hard targets, can Trap compete with Cold and Thermal?

I saw a post a while ago where it contains screenshots of all the armour sets and the maximum res and def values. It is useful to see the strengths and weaknesses (and holds) of different armour sets.
Could anyone help me to find that post please??
Thanks!

Thank you all.
Just want to understand the hype of the power. I read when it pair with PA, it is the strong there is to offer. But the numbers don’t seem to indicate so.
Either way, I still MA as a set is not bad. I just need to find a way to make the most of it.
