Yeah, I remember my first Positron TF taking 9+ hours, ending at 3 AM local time in the morning. I also remember my first Dr. Q TF taking 7.5 hours (also in one sitting).

You can do a "/getglobalname <character name>" to find out. That being said, I couldn't get my signature name on Torchbearer due to someone snagging the name before I could get on, so I can definitely understand your feelings.

I remember them doing so. A time limit would be good. I think 1000 character slots is way too generous too. Sadly, they don't have a way to prevent multi-box accounts, though that really should be a part of the code-of-conduct. The solution that the live game had was they did a name purge about 2 times on accounts that didn't log in for x amount of time. That wouldn't seem to apply at this time here. Personally, I'm in favor of a Champions-type naming convention. Arcanaville was opposed to that due to privacy issues.

Yeah, @Arcanaville and I had many discussions over the merits and drawbacks of both game's (CoH and CO) naming conventions. However no change was possible at that point. From my understanding, changing it to the Champions model would require quite a bit of work to accomplish.

I probably don't need to introduce myself. Anyways, I'm on @Snow Globe I have the local "Snow Globe" on 3 of the Homecoming servers (not Torchbearer though).
