That is a very interesting macro image - and honestly, I have no memory of who or where I got it from.
But, I use it as my base macro icon image.
    image "Badge_OGTH2

So, in context of the base passcode macro it looks like this: /macro_image "Badge_OGTH2" "Teleport: Indoor Rowing Club" enterbasefrompasscode ROW2000K-233

And...feel free to look at the most boring base in the world - function over fashion, for sure.

It's the image for the Brightest Sun badge obtained from Twinshot's arc.

  2. I had a player doing a mish "naturally" (ie: not a Flashback) advertising the need for help in LFG.  I had my healer logged in at the time and offered to help.  It turns out, the player was getting their hiney handed to them and were very discouraged.  They didn't know how to create builds for their toon(s) effectively and were literally about to quit for good.  I asked them not to quit and to give me a little time to show them why.

We finished the arc and then I introduced him to a supergroup some of my toons are members of.  The support in the group is pretty freakin' awesome and I showed him how to join (the toon I was on was not a member.)  He joined and within a day or so I saw him posting in the Discord and getting the support he needed.

I've also directed other players to that group and like to think that I've helped them.  But I'm pretty sure that I helped that person.

I do other things too but that's the only example I wanted to share.  I'm not *always* glad to help but I'm *often* glad to help.  Currently, I'm still trying to get the sixteen trillion+ badges in this game.  No thanks to the latest updates and events!  (kidding!  thank you!)

I didn't post the name of the supergroup because I'm of the opinion that if someone wants to know they'll DM me.  And the rest of you couldn't care less and are probably mildly irritated by shameless recruitment plugs.

  3. In the Seer Marino arc "Oh, Wretched Man!" there's one mish where the players' objective is to steal research about Ghost Widow from the Legacy Chain.  In the building where I completed the previous mish, I immediately called the contact to start the next mish.  The (red) waypoint appeared at the exit.  I exited the building and the (red) waypoint led me back to the door of the building I had just left.

I finally found the Legacy Chain mish by following the waypoint on the map itself instead of trying to use the Nav window.

Edit: I was running this arc from Flashback if that makes a difference.

  4. As far as I can tell there are a total of five new insp drops tied to the Anniversary event.  As far as I can remember, they are obtained *only* by defeating enemies spawning from opening Time Capsules.

The people in the Help channel explained to me how to find out what a particular insp does.  Right-click it and select "Info."  Then click the "Detailed Info" tab and what it does will be shown at the bottom.

Special note: if there is no explanation for what it does, then the insp provides Debt Protection.

Special note 2: if you put them in an insp storage container in your base, it will "sort" them.

They work as follows...  The order of this list is how they're sorted in my storage container.

    1) +Def (all)

    2) Debt Protection

    3) Heal on self

    4) +End on self

    5) +?% Dam (all) on self

It seems only the Hellion Arson (Steel Canyon fires) Event doesn't say anything about frequency.

The Hellion Arson rarely take more than two hours to spawn.  It may be roughly hourly.  Basically, building is always catching on fire.

Heh...  This is specifically the event that I was wanting to know about.  I just wanted to ask the question generally as a one-shot, one-kill for all of the events.

I was waiting around for the Hellion Arson today and there was roughly a two hour and ten minute gap between spawns.  But that's just one sample.

  6. Some really cool screen setups!

Also, I noticed some of you don't have the timestamp on your chat.

Menu > Options > Windows (tab) > scroll down to Chat > Chat Timestamps (near the bottom of the list)

What size screen are you using, and how reduced do you make the UI elements?  Those both play a factor, and screenshots don't always communicate these.  Just from the screenshot, without reference, it looks like you're using something greater than 24", though reduce UI size might create the look as well.

I think my screen is 32"

So...how do you know what your team/league are saying? I see no chat box.

I always minimize my chat window when posting screenshots.  Just a preference.

  9. Maybe some people will find this useful.  I'm posting a typical screen of my toon.

Power trays 4 and 5 are elevated because when I cast my Mystic Flight power, it adds a tray that blocks out my regular trays.  This also works for Super Jump, etc.

Edit: Tray 6 is my "extra" tray for Badge Tracker, Emote mod, costumes and pets, etc.  And I *always* have the "Pet" tray open and out of the way.

Just look in the cells in the mission.  Of course, you would need a list of everyone who should be in there, plus you need to be able to recognize all of those enemies on sight.

Is it possible to hover my mouse pointer over a villain in a cell and identify them if I don't recognize them on sight?  My team and I defeated Harbinger but he/she just looked like a gigantic ball of special effects from all the powers hitting them.  And I can't find a page for them on the wiki.

Edit: Are there only 3 souvenirs required?

Are you certain you had not already used the Halloween salvage on that articular character?

I believe this was the problem.  Thank you for the suggestion!

  12. Hi!  I noticed what I think might be an error on the Homecoming wiki.  I had a level 44 Controller (Vigilante/blueside) and attempted to buy the tenth costume slot from Anna (Croatoa.)  I had all of the necessary salvage.  However, she didn't offer the costume recipe.  I tried again at level 45 and had the same results.  Then I tried another toon I had at level 50 and she offered the costume recipe.

The wiki says "any level" can purchase an extra costume slot.  I'm not sure if that's limited to the Halloween Event or if a toon has to be level 50 all year.  If someone else could verify this (there's more than one vendor to purchase a costume slot from and I haven't had a chance to test them all yet) that would be helpful I'm sure.

Anyway, I just thought I'd post it for the wiki editors.  I'm not a registered user of the wiki and I've also heard that only a few people are allowed to edit it.

  13. Can you guys bring back the old-school CoT costumes?  The "new" look is just plain ridiculous.  I've never like their "gaudy" look but didn't realize there was a much cooler-looking alternative.

  14. I just found out about these badges today.

Just in case you're wondering how to find said time capsules, you can simply use the maps for the presents during the Winter Event.

    https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Winter_Event/Presents#Present_Locations

Please note that some time capsules do not appear in these map locations.  If you can't find it, just move on.  Redside is better for collecting because of the lower population.

Edit: 65 total time capsules opened to get the badges.  The rest of the rewards were not important to me, although I collected nearly a dozen costumes, both bats, and two of the "vision" powers.  I deleted everything but the bats.

  15. I just want to know how to get the badge.  I go to the payphone and it says call cannot be completed.  One of the threads I was reading said this:

    • Accessing this story arc requires having completing Doc Buzzsaw's newest arc.

Is that the Freakish Lab arc?  Do I need to change to red and then to blue to get this badge?
