  1. I was on a server were Vet levels had been turned off.  You still earn salvage/threads/etc, but you didn't progress past level 50.  I didnt see any difference at all in gameplay other than the loss of salvage generated from leveling as a Vet.

  2. You can summon Hami in the Abyss?  I've never been there!?  I'll have to check this place out...

Edit: wait...  Hami recruitment is "tedious?"  I thought it impossible to get in unless you arrived early!?

  3. Although stealth is an objective for the Hacker, it's not necessary.  I normally defeat the thugs so I can hack in peace (and still get the badge.)

For the thief, the laser challenge is a little easier if the camera is tilted to a more "top down" view.

The Ninja Monkey badge is made easier with AoEs, naturally.

For Man's Best Friend, the players should defeat the two-or-three brown dogs before attacking Frank.  Once the brown dogs are defeated, then the players can focus on the badge.

  4. On the wiki, the description of the badge says "You've tangled with Nemesis himself..."  What makes this misleading is the fact that it's not a requirement.  I mean: Yeah, it will award the badge and all, but...

I wasn't suggesting to change the website anymore, though.  The information is correct.  I just didn't want to leave you hanging iwth the "unconfirmed" after I was certain about it.

  5. Update: If you want to farm the "A Nemesis Plot" badge without participating, I believe Steel Canyon would be the goto place to afk.  It seems to be consistently invaded.  Even if Nemesis only invades one zone, it will be Steel Canyon (so far as I've seen.)

    Edit: Nope!  Guess not!

  6. So a basic strategy would be:

    1) Log into the game on the toon you want to badge

    2) Create a tab in the chat window for Hero/Villain Zone Events

    3) Determine that you will play for at least three hours

    4) Keep an eye on the "Zone" tab and check it every time it lights up

    5) Haul ace to the first zone you see

    6) Join a league for the fun or hide under a rock somewhere (no seriously; if you are visible from directly above you will spawn Nemesis enemies; see Event link in the OP for verification)

    7) Open your Badges window to "Most Recent."  *AS SOON* as you badge, check zones messages and decide if you have time to badge another.  This requires you to read the link in teh OP and learn what the messages mean.  And stop whining!  Having the Badges window blocking your screen isn't going to kill you!  Just keep hitting the Tab key!

Despite not being required to participate, you can't reliably hang around in one zone afk waiting on the invasion.  There's no guarantee that you'll pick the right zone.  It's possible, of course.  But the advantage of paying attention to the invasions is that I've successfully badged 3 toons on the longer ones.  Sometimes I'll join in the fun and sometimes I'll hide under a rock (for my lowbies.)

I've also encountered the "glitch."   Someone in our league mentioned that it was a hidden timer that ran out before we could defeat him, but this person didn't seem to have "inside knowledge."

  7. The Paragon wiki seems to confirm it:

    https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/A_Nemesis_Plot_Badge

Edit: it's confirmed on Homecoming.  A friend of mine received the badge in Steel Canyon at approx 4pm EDT and she was shopping in a store.

Edit: Confirmed on Homecoming.  I was awarded the badge by simply arriving in Steel Canyon at approx 6:35pm EDT.  I did nothing.  I engaged nothing.  Not even the Nemesis enemies that popped up and engaged me (I ran away.)

Edit: One more change.  Nemesis doesn't invade all of the previously referenced zones simultaneously.  He only invades the zones announced in the Zone Events channels.  This *can* be multiple zones, but not always.  In order to properly farm the badge, it's important to monitor the blue and red zone events (I keep a separate tab) and travel to whichever is preferred.  By interpreting the zone messages, a player can determine if they have a chance to badge a second toon.

  8. I'm sorry to disagree, but I believe the participation in defeating Nemesis requirement is not completely correct.  I believe that anyone present in the zone will get the badge as long as Nemesis is defeated.  I was afk in Peregrine Island just now (about 11am EDT?) and I got the badge.  Unfortunately, I didn't confirm immediately upon arriving at the keyboard so I can't say for certain if my subsequent activities provided the badge instead.

  9. This description isn't quite correct:

    https://n15g.github.io/badger/homecoming/badge/a-nemesis-plot

The player has to get credit for defeating Nemesis in order to be awarded the badge.

To get credit for (any) defeat:

The members of the team that the player is on must collectively do at least 10% of the total hit points of the enemy in damage in order to get credit for the defeat.  If you're solo or on a team, this is easy because the team efforts count for everyone.  But if you are part of a league this becomes a matter of strategy because each team must do at least 10% damage to get credit for that team.  This is why some teams don't get the rewards in a league: they didn't do enough damage.

EDIT:  The "defeat" requirement is unconfirmed!

  10. Hmmm...  Something else went wrong while teaming on a different toon.  I was doing a mission the team lead called "Take Control of Sinclaire" in Night Ward.  During the mission I needed to quit, but when I quit the team I was still inside the mission!?  It was an instanced mission with a building you had to enter.  I was inside the building when I quit the team.  Normally, I expect it to dump me to the entrance of the mission but it just left me there!  I had to find my way out manually (well, I guess I could have used base tp or Ouro.)

  11. Today a friend invited me to join an AE mission already in progress.  I was in the Cosmic platform superbase when I was invited, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Anyway, my team menu looked as shown in the picture from the moment I accepted the invite.  I entered the mission and took a screenshot in front of the team lead.

Edit: while I was in here wasting time on the forums, the team lead sent another invite while I was still in the task force and in the mission.  I accepted it and was kicked out of the mission but now everything was working normally.  I suspect that being inside of the superbase when I was first invited was the cause of the glitch (not to mention, the mission was already in progress.)

  12. I have a Willpower/Psionic Melee/Energy Mastery Tanker.  Her design is for "pure" tanking: low damage, high defenses and resistances, high regeneration/recovery and of course Taunt.  Perfect!  The only powers I'm not using are Concentration and Boggle (low damage, so attacks aren't a priority.)  I don't necessarily want to waste my efforts increasing damage since most teams can handle the dps for me.

Are there any Incarnate powers that are good for playing like a Tanker?
