No, the characters in question have all been level 50. I mean the option does not show up when you talk to Positron, though you've done both red and blue sides. In one instance, I had the Nemesis option before the bug fix and did not have it afterwards. We failed the Nemesis mission for time just before the restart for the bug fix, and we tried it again afterwards. The exact same character no longer had the Nemesis option. That's happened on two other characters of mine as well, and at least two other people I know were affected. The correct mission was selected. The correct person had the star. This was not the problem. I even went in solo afterwards. Still no option.

I've noticed this before, and I don't see a bug submitted for it, so I'll do it for next year's consideration. I've completed both sides of the wedding multiple times to get Officiator; however, I had to swap sides in order to do it. I should have the Chaos option, but I do not. I'm not sure if I can get it now at all. Prior to the bug fix that fixed the issue with the heroes/vigilantes Chaos missions ending early if they took down the villains, you always had the Chaos option as long as you'd completed one red and one blue side. Afterwards, however, I lost that option, even though I'd completed both sides and, in two cases, had the Chaos option on the characters before the bug fix. I'm not sure why this bug cropped up, but it does seem to be linked to the fix for the early mission ending for the heroes/vigilantes. Just an FYI. BTW, super fun mission, and I've appreciated the fact that it helps get a jump on the badges for hero/villain slaying.

I had a little to add here from our experience doing this badge. One: I can confirm all four Faultline arcs must be completed to get both Kurse and Nocturne. Those were the last two missions we had to complete. We did so, ran both parts of Buzzsaw's arc, and neither Kurse nor Nocturne appeared. We went back, ran the other two mission arcs, and they appeared. Two: In a successful arc, you will encounter the Shining Stars twice within the last mission. The first time is outside the drainpipe to enter the Zig. They must be defeated before you can enter. (Yes, even sweet Dillo, darn it!) They spawn as lieutenants (or they did in ours.) What threw us initially was that we expected Manticore to spawn with the Shining Stars at this time. This is not the case. Even on a successful run, you will encounter only the Shining Stars when you approach the prison. If you have successfully arrested all the villains, you will counter Manticore as you attempt to leave with Bile. He spawns just outside the room where Bile, the Clockwork King, Hoskins, and Vandal are being held. When Manticore is defeated, the Shining Stars will return and attack you again -- but this time at the same level as Manticore. Don't do what we did. We entered the mission, saw the Shining Stars outside the prison, thought we'd failed because Manticore had not spawned, and nearly quit the arc to try again. We kept on going just to check and see what prisoners we'd missed. Fortunately, we hadn't missed anyone. Suggestion: an edit to the hints to indicate that Manticore does not spawn at the beginning with the Shining Stars, but rather, as you attempt to escape. Three: If, like us, you've run both halves of Buzzsaw's arc and failed because you did not have all the villains, you do not have to run both halves of the arc to try again. You only have to run the second half. HTH. Thank you all for the posted hints and assistance! It was a big help. Love this badge, by the way! A lot of work, but a great storyline.

I just got the Ankle Biter badge. It was just the two of us and we were on -1/8 because I'm lazy...but I'm betting if you took a full team and ran Doc Buzzsaw's second arc (particularly the second mission with the immature protectors) you could not only make good headway on Cool Customer, but pick up your Paragon Protector badge and Ankle Biter. We saw several cryogenecists even set as low as we were and with the two of us. No gamma tanks, of course, but one mission with all of those? I'm definitely hitting it again for the PP badges and the rest.

A bit of necro, but something I noticed: Mark and Recall works for all the kidnap missions, even when all other travel powers are disabled. I also got the level 50 badges by picking different personal stories. That way, I got the badge for the personal arc and the Ouro badge. They may change this in the future, but for now, it works. I used the redside options exclusively; I've run them less and my main had to spend a week as a villain to get the Frenzied badge, anyway. 🙂 They all worked perfectly, especially with Mark and Recall. Thanks so much for providing this resource! It was a huge help.

When I right click, I don't get any remove from tray or edit options at all. I've also just had it happen again, this time on a different character. Both times, it was while trying to edit a 'say' macro. I can't get either button out of my tray at all. The one commonality I see between the two is the &nbs. If clicked, it says: "Unknown command" then the rest of what my macro would have said.

Could we please get the calendars back? I can find out the WST in game, but I'd like to find out when people are running trials or raids. Unfortunately, my schedule is such that I have to plan enough time to play and know when that time is going to be. The price of being a grown-up and having to go Adult, sadly.

Recently, I attempted to associate an icon with a macro so the icon would show instead of the plain gray button. The instructions did not work. Furthermore, I no longer had the option to remove the macro from the tray. The first picture is what the macro now looks like in the tray. If I click on the macro button, I first get text that says "Unknown command" followed by part of the macro. After that, a popup appears, giving me the option to click 'OK' or 'Copy to clipboard'. Copying to the clipboard, obviously, just copies the message on the popup. If I click 'OK', a second popup appears with the same options. Those popups are the next two attached screenshots. If I click OK on them, and If I am solo and in an unpopulated area, my cursor changes to a small blue hand and a triangle-shaped direction pointer. No screenshot is provided because this doesn't show up on a screenshot. If I left click, the cursor returns to normal and the icon returns to the tray. If I click OK on the popups and I am in a populated area, the cursor does not change. Instead, I am mapservered after the second popup and must reboot the game. Is there a way I can get rid of this icon in my tray? Friends have indicated that it is likely a rendering bug. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

The Sandbox, Progression and the Homecoming Experience
Lionors replied to FFFF's topic in General Discussion
Late to the party here, but I appreciate your pointing that out. I, for one, absolutely abhor having enforced cooldown times. I also absolutely abhor being forced to do trials. I'll do them occasionally, but I really, really hate raids as a rule and can't take doing them often. I really don't want to be FORCED to do them because I can't do anything on my own, or better still, paired with my husband and a few friends. We have time to chat, take breaks if we want, and otherwise, just enjoy the journey. I noticed on a recent Reddit thread that the Reunion folks were touting their scheduled iTrials and such, but the problem is, not everyone is on the same time schedule. Due to family and job constraints, it's not always going to be possible for me to participate in a regularly scheduled raid. That's why I find something like the 24 hour cooldown infuriating. I don't have time every 24 hours to play, but I might have several hours in *one* day to play, and I'd like to take the most advantage of it. Instead, my progress would be achingly slow to the point of frustration -- and I'm someone who took almost a year and a half to level her first character to 50 on Live, so that's saying something. MMOs should be flexible, so you can play when you're able to play, and not be penalized because your schedule isn't on the usual American 9 to 5. HC has done this beautifully. I deeply appreciate HC's flexibility in that regard. I have times late at night that I have to be up for family reasons, and it's great to know I can solo a little AND make progress,. I don't have to worry about a job call pulling me away during a raid time, so I end up missing out on salvage, and I don't have artificial limits shoved upon me. HC's a lot more casual friendly. This is good. Edit: Just had a chat with my husband aka fellow player of CoH since beta, and one more thing came to mind. If there was one thing that truly frustrated us both on Live, it was the lack of money and how hard it was to get salvage to make anything. How can you play with a system when you can't afford to buy multiple 40K Luck Charms? The description of Reunion's market just gave me negative cold chills of memory. I've very much enjoyed what HC's done with the market. It's not hard to make money, but for casual gamers like us, it means we're not continually scraping or playing underpowered characters when we're on teams. We can afford to play around with IO combos we might not have done otherwise and really explore different builds, and that's not something we were EVER able to do on Live. Not trying to knock Reunion here, but a lot of what they seem to be touting were the things that caused the most frustration for me on Live. I saw someone on a Reddit thread praising Reunion for forcing people to unlock costume options, and that's another thing I don't get, either. You always end up with the people who have the leisure to play all the time with all the good things, lording it over the have-nots. No, thanks. Negative nostalgia moment for me there. Thank you again for the terrific (and very nicely unbiased) summation! It's very much appreciated. -
Did something change? I just donated and it's a little over halfway there. As always, thank you all for keeping the City alive and well!
