  1. Is this the right place to report a bug? I've noticed that setting an autocast on a power does not stick. I control-clicked on Hasten , and it got the autocast green circle and activated. However, after it fires the first time automatically, the autocast drops off of it. It no longer autocasts after that first one. Reapplying it results in the same behavior.
  2. If the zone cap is going to stay 50 players, then this is the best way to address MSR. Then the cap no longer applies to it.
  3. Sounds like just the right way to run MSR, then. It's more suited to joining in progress unlike other trials.
  4. Does anyone actually use it as a queue? Mostly no since the leader fills the team/league and then starts with it locked. MSR is an event that can benefit from people joining even when in progress if it wasn't full. Does LFG work that way that you can join an event already in progress if it isn't locked? I've never used it that way to know.
  5. It sounds like it runs just like a trial instance. This way the zone player cap is no longer an issue. Instead of the shield going back up, the Rikti stop spawning when the timer runs out. Technically this means you can "win" instead of getting kicked off the ship when time is up.
  6. Katana at least may be a poor choice for swapping T1 and T2 attacks. Current T1 Katana is higher damage than the T2.
  7. In order of preference: 1) New content. This can mean new incarnate trials, new story arcs, new zones, etc. I expect this is probably the most difficult to implement. But, without new content the game will eventually get too repetitive doing the same missions over and over. Perhaps there's some way to leverage the Architect Missions and promote the best ones to actual game content missions? Also some existing content should be updated. Older task forces stand out here. 2) New power sets are always interesting. I'd also like to see updates of existing, older, sets to make them compare well against the more recent sets. This has to be done carefully, though, since you don't want to ruin a currently decent set. It would be nice if no set was considered underpowered, though I expect some sets will always stand out. 3) New costume options are always welcome.
  8. I've noticed that between launches of the new 64 bit Homecoming client it doesn't save the character list order after I've rearranged it. I'm on a Mac with Mojave 10.14.6. I don't know if this is specific to Mac or not since I don't have any other version. The characters are always listed in the order of character creation when the game initially launches. I can rearrange them, and it will remember it as long as I don't exit the game. Has anyone else had this problem?
  9. I didn't know doing "wine start" would do that, too. Starting the game seemed to handle it for me, but good to know you can do it manually first, too.
  10. These steps worked for me on Mojave 10.14.6. I can't vouch for them on other versions of macOS. The TL;DR version is to delete everything from the game and start fresh. This includes the .wine directory from your home directory. That seems key to success. 1) Rename/delete (your choice) /Applications/CoH.app 2) Rename/delete /Applications/coh (if you've already tried running the game) 3) Delete the .wine directory from your home directory. This is a hidden directory and does not show up in Finder. To delete it use the following commands in Terminal First, see if you have the directory with this command. ls -a If you see it in the list of files then type this next command. BE VERY CAREFUL TYPING IT OR PASTING AS A MISTAKE COULD DELETE ALL YOUR FILES IN THE HOME DIRECTORY. rm -fr .wine You can confirm by typing ls -a again. It should be gone from the list. 4) Install Home-brew and Wine as mentioned elsewhere. If you already have those, you don't need to reinstall them. 5) Download the latest Island Rum. http://telstar.eekstudio.com/islandrum-mac.zip 6) Let Island Rum install the files. When it is finished, you should be able to run the 64 bit client. These steps worked for me and for others on Mojave I have given them to. The key piece seems to be the existing .wine directory because apparently when the new version of Wine tries to update it, it doesn't work right. Removing it and letting it create a new one appears to be the solution.
  11. It does not show in Finder because it is a hidden directory. Open up Terminal and type this command: ls -a You should see it in the list. If you do, then type this command to remove it. BE VERY CAREFUL TO TYPE IT IN RIGHT OR YOU COULD DELETE ALL YOUR FILES IN YOUR HOME DIRECTORY! rm -fr .wine Then if you use "ls -a" again it should be gone from the list.
  12. I think the step you need is to delete the .wine directory from your home directory. I had problems until I did that along with your other steps. Upgrading the existing .wine directory seemed to have issues with the game launching.
  13. Just wanted to post that my Mac 64 bit client is now functional. I did a full game reinstall and removed the .wine directory from my home directory. The version of Island Rum I tried must have been updated, too, since there was a newer one available now. I'm able to log in and play.
  14. I'm able to launch the game in both 64 and 32 bit mode and get to character select. However, after starting to zone in the game crashes at about 40% loading the zone. Included is the backtrace from the 64 bit mode attempt. Mojave 10.14.6 Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro15,1 Processor Name: Intel Core i9 Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 8 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache: 16 MB Hyper-Threading Technology: Enabled Memory: 32 GB Boot ROM Version: 220.270.99.0.0 (iBridge: 16.16.6568.0.0,0) backtrace.txt
  15. How about when a team I was on with my energy/Inv/fire wiped all but me and a blaster, who retreated. The tank got hit by a Malta sapper and went down, and the rest followed. I cleaned up the mess while getting cheers from the rest of the faceplanters. It was set to 50+4, and I am still working on T3 incarnate powers.
  16. It isn't just corrupted fonts. It is corrupted graphics when running from the VM. I don't know if that can be fixed, but maybe someone has some ideas?
  17. I'm trying to get CoH to run in my Parallels VM since the Mac client isn't going to work with macOS 10.15. However, I'm getting corrupted fonts on the login screen and after I login, the characters screen is also corrupted. I also want to do this because for some reason my Mac client decided to stop working this morning after playing just fine last night. All it does now is lock up the desktop for several seconds before not starting at all. I tried a couple of other games (Borderlands 2 and Hearthstone) just in case a GPU problem was the cause, but that doesn't seem to be an issue. If anyone has an idea how to fix the corrupted fonts, I would be very appreciative. That's probably going to be the only way to play long term if the macOS 10.15 issue isn't solved.
