  1. Sure it was, maybe not at the very beginning, but at some point they added the +4 setting and no AVs while solo. Surely it was included by the time we got Ourboros TFs. Anyway, how often do you hear looking for a Tank or Defender in Homecoming? It's always just any one who wants to come now. I would like to at least do the weekly SF's the first time on a challenging setting. I am too polite to drop out of the TF though. eh, you know what I mean.
  2. So I fixed Energy Aura with the Medicine Pool, "Aid Self", and Energy Drain at level 28. Now it works very well, but before Energy Drain you do rely on blue inspirations to make it work in long battles whereas the other "armor" powersets just chug along from low levels to higher levels. Anyway, with the missing early healing resolved and "Energy Drain" powering the toggles, Energy Aura is a very good set. Very tanky. I was just giving my feedback of how Energy Aura levels up through the early going. That is not hugely important anymore I know, most good sets have some deficiencies, that just makes it more fun. Now that City of Heroes doesn't take 2 to 6 months to get a character to level 40 (original level cap) like it did in 2004 there is really no problem with slow to develop powersets. So my only gripes now are SS's 'Jab' still being totally skip-able, and why does everyone do Task Forces at level 0 or -1? Task Forces are increasingly fun as you ramp up the challenge. At +4, the oldschool standard, you actually have to have a balanced team that works together. People even waste the weekly SF's double XP and do them at level 0 mostly. Maybe ramp up Merit Rewards a little for each level of difficulty? That seems to be what players are after nowadays.
  3. Energy Aura is easily defeated by Radiation and other Defense debuffs. If you have been one-hit by Clamor or almost, you know this is so, this in spite of claiming resistance to defense debuffs. Energy Aura also sucks down endurance which seems counter to the RP concept you get of the set, and in spite of supposed resistances to Endurance Drains, fighting Freakshow or Clockworks has you pumping blue inspirations in a continuous stream. And why does a Brute or Tank need to Cloak? Energize doesn't come till level 35? You better find some heal power before then. Expect XP debt badges.
  4. No. Hasten is fine for 16 years now. It adds flavor to the game. It's balanced into the game now so removing it would require a total re-balance of recharges. Generally you hold it in reserve for a difficult battle you know is coming so it's not perma-on or anything. It uses a power slot so you sacrifice other options as well.
  5. Same problem. Had it momentarily about 9 hours ago, but it cleared up when it happened then.
  6. That's complex. I guess the wiki has that info, hopefully just a list of which TF gives which shard item.
  7. I see you can create these items, Hero One DNA Sample, Dimensional Keystone, etc. from Incarnate Shards, but there is no interface I can see to create them from Threads. Where do I look or is this old information from 2012?,
  8. Warshade. I'm still leveling at 50 to 51? This is new to me, I thought the level cap was 50 and then you worked on incarnate slots. What do you get at level 51 and how high do you level?
  9. If you are on your way back from the hospital after rezzing from a defeat you do not get the Task Force rewards, no XP, no Merits from the Imperious Task Force if your Team completes the Task Force during this time. So you spend an hour or two in the Task Force and get nothing for it.
  10. So, yeah. Electric/Earth Dominator, quite fun, but I just fought Protean at -1 level with a belt full of Phenomenal Lucks and Resurgences and he kills me 5 times, even had Domination up twice, but Sleeps and Confuse did nothing. I did get a Hold on him twice, but he kills me in one good hit. So I just did auto-complete again rather than waste anymore Phenomenal Lucks on the battle that Dominators just aren't supposed to fight I guess. Might have won, but he gets the PBAoE 100% heal and Earth powers only work on the ground.

  12. Yes, is is working at 97.08 To Hit, just no yellow ring. ::) well go figure.
  13. 97.08 To Hit from Tactics and Kismet 6% and Sniper is not instant cast. What's not right? I was assured this would make the Sniper attack instant cast. The power description says this is so. Combat Attributes say I have 97.08 To Hit, no instant cast. Is there a magic number over 97%, like 97.1 To Hit? Or is it Bugged? Archery/Tactical Arrow sets by the way.
  14. Slotted Tactics did not activate the instant snipe so it's going to be Devices, I like the new Stealth power anyway.
  15. Eagle-Eye does not activate Ranged Shot (Sniper) instant-casting. It's not enhanceable with To-Hit buffs so you get forced into taking Manuvers and Tactics from Leadership to get the instant activation on your sniper attack. I thought Eagle-Eye would do this, but having to take 3 powers to get this effect makes the power seem heavily nerfed. This was unexpected since the main purpose of Eagle-Eye was to buff To-Hit. Didn't think the 37.5 % To-Hit would be too low. Is it a bug?
  16. So it seems Norton was just being paranoid. After I told it to stop blocking Homecoming.exe, everything went back to normal.
