  1. ^ dunno about regen, but spirit tree in plant should be 800% base regen, or more.
  2. loki edghi Figs (of course) you promised me Figs Gwydion is Slytherin (my real name!) Percy the Cultist Dalton Crey lvck voltia king the fairy king pittoo let the feast begin fairy boy problems
  3. think this only comes from the ill informed. if you stop hits or mitigate damage 'somehow', it lets self sustain on party happen, i.e. they regen. having said that, something like nature vs trick arrow - for sustain - leans nature.
  4. I can simplify this! scenario: group play x8 challenge level: reasonable - +0-+4 level: 20+ what's going to mess that up? - zero or very low sustain - very low dps, you might live, but its slow awful scraping melee (well IOd) can be anything really, including a sentinel or blaster. for extended exposure to melee, a scrapper/brute/tanker is bestest. they help clump mobs, but are they necessary? arguably no. so I'd say you've a 2 legged stool in CoH --> you need to kill things (dps), you need sustain (self provided, but across group really, you need something stopping death) dps and heals. tank optional, probably optimal. but they don't take taunt anymore.

  6. hm, it's quite excellent, in skilled hands! mind probe - ludicrously quick, hard hitting, and works well against things that have a psi hole, many do... just people complain psi+bots. tk thrust - a gtf off me power, also hits hard and fast mental blast - solid damage, recharge debuff effect psychic scream - see that group immob, scream a fan over all of them. drain psyche - good recovery / sustain, lasts for a bit. psi lance - pew psi shockwave - quickly recharging, quick casting. does job, has disorient (works well with earth staligmites, or symphony, or dark). ---> whats better? thorns! or maybe savage. Level Available Power Name Short Help 1 Mind Probe Melee, High DMG(Psionic), Target -Recharge 1 Psionic Dart Ranged, Light DMG(Psionic), Target -Recharge 4 Telekinetic Thrust Melee, Moderate DMG(Psionic/Smash), Foe Knockback 10 Mental Blast Ranged, Moderate DMG(Psionic), Target -Recharge 16 Psychic Scream Ranged (Cone), Light DMG(Psionic), Foe -Recharge 20 Drain Psyche PBAoE Foe -Regen, -Recovery; Self +Regen, +Recovery 24 Subdue Ranged, Moderate DMG(Psionic), Foe Immobilize 28 Psionic Lance Sniper, Extreme DMG(Psionic), Target -Recharge 30 Psychic Shockwave PBAoE, Light DMG(Psionic), Foe Disorient -Recharge
  7. Well, I'm very important, and famous - so I'm working on my next character concept. 'Figs Candlewick'. haven't decided AT. maybe he's a wind dominator??!? Figs Candlewick - truffle fan
  8. relatively slow moving, but probably heavy. shrapnel from a grenade is relatively slow moving versus the time mark of imparted velocity for concussive wave init, and the wave slows to shake the air (i.e. concussion expends energy). its more complicated than that, because the concussive blast fans or pushes the shrapnel to accellerate it, then drops off, it moves past the pieces of metal. in our example, the rock/object shatters or fraents on impact, and bits are thrown away, accelerating to a speed, then slowing down. to your point, a core difference is there isnt an inner force that drives the object off, and much force is lost to split pieces, and let them have momentum. dangerous pieces might travel in a cone forward, while lesser fragmented rock bits might simply fall, or plink backwards. we just have force redistribution in this case. however, in paragon, we also have to contend with 'the target has a 40k rosarius / personal force field, and that knocked the rock the f-back. so, maybe very dangwrous pieces. what we dont know, past trying to measure the flight time and guess the materials and mass/weight in paragon city is - how heavy was that bastard. all in all, im sticking with - you dont want to be near one 😀
  9. if you pulled rock from the ground, it is brittle enough past plasticity (like metal, in that ground lifted doesn't come up like gum and snap back) it is prone to shatter on impact --> clumpy shrapnel. a grenade breaks brittle from catastrophic expansion of its innards - it is shattered to shrapnel before it can heat enough to behave as plastic (it doesnt resemble a balloon popping in slow mo). so can rock, tarmac, chunk of earth hit someone and cause collateral outcome / be aoe? sure. ricochet, shrapnel, bounce. like if you propelled a fork lift at someone, one does not want to be near that.
  10. without mids, some personal prefs aside from obvious (like 6 slot your pet): a lot in earth is pseudopets; gasses, earthquake, quicksand so no domination benefit there. quicksand is a good pick, as it is a base layer for def debuff on harder targets. same with quake. single slot on quicksand, couple recharges on quake. take haste. dont think, take haste. no flight powers, you need to be grounded for several abilities. salt crystals is snap def debuff, and quick, benefits of dom,.. it may assist, often skipped. if you take, throw in the chance to self heal set (sleep). stalagmites, 6 slot aoe purple damage set if you want, or for disorient. whatever, but its recharge reduction should be a priority - that one is go to for 'mobs stop dead' regularly. this is probably your most important control. if theres 1 or 2 doms that dont need to hard seek perma dom, I'd put earth among them. stone cages is a good 6 slot choice for your ato set that summons the orb. the hold being the other, if your not trying to proc it. on earth, i dont try to do damage with the set as dom, its a lost battle. its not what earth is good at. fire breath with Artillery is significantly higher range than without. a 30 degree cone has a lot more coverage with extended length. artillery has 2x range extending elements, if i recall accurately positrons blast only has 1. consume is skippable, it is abysmally slow to cast pbaoe. mace for epic is not on your list, but theres a geodey/magicy looking one thatd fit a dragon theme, plus you can have it appear sheathed on your back permanently (a dom carrying a weapon!) - scorpy shield - poisonous ray (dmg proc this for big success) - disruptor blast (same as prior) mace epic will likely serve you better than flame, but if you want flame - melt armor isnt worth it, too weak. Figs - who likes 🧂salt crystals🔮
  11. pain dom with ninjas would be fun, its very thematic, blood magical like. its proper healer like empath (2 singles and a aoe), and has a good aura heal (that procs uniques for things like panacea, on other people). nature is strong. it is healing like an big tree might sway in the wind, there's delay, but its strong and layers, and puts absorbs. if you do take nature note that the rez can be used to put a strong hot effect on a live target - meaning its far less situational, and pet useful.
  12. theres no one grading your vote, and its anonymous, no one can see. feel free to do your part for paragon city / the rogue isles / wherever goldside lives, if youd like. more vote responses is nice.
  13. https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/build-planner me? well, I'm famous - so body / reflex - mantis blades, no pissing about. unless something is wildly different, you shred. -- Figs, who's idea of a good night out is some sharp blue glass, and cold weather walks in the city
  14. if you are new, you've probably started to hear in your first few days about Figs. One of, if not THE most famous heroes in paragon city. he solos octopus and never kills zombies in the sewers before dealing with the bad lady on a bridge. So, if you're new, there's a special code you can use at the 'base portal', where you might ACTUALLY MEET FIGS! (excelsior server). ! use this secret code: ISLAND-8714
  15. ya... good bit of news, guns related, is one of the devs who does the art skins said on the forums to me some time ago that they'd add the assault rifle guns (e.g. crey las rifle, many others) to beam rifle in their 'next pass with them'. so maybe next patch... I have a set of crey characters, the sons/clones of the sons of the countess... elias, joshua, elliott, mikael crey. they're all some version of disaffected youth who've... taken crey weaponry and go about being villians or pretend heroes... so a home team arsenal is essential! dual pistols would be nice with pew pew beams.
  16. fortunata - its mind, with amazing team buffs (lacking telekinesis), and lots o' damage, a decent melee chain (including follow up). many cones.
