  1. I haven't achieved this. I imagine with multiple purples it will be astoundingly expensive. I would probably go power by power, getting them set by set, and farming, or buying the pieces. Using either AE farm, or Merit Farming and selling enh you don't need for ones you do. Hover is still slow, yeah. It's like combat jumping. Not speeding your speed, but to increase defense. Though you can slot flight speed into swift in the free fitness slots.
  2. No problem. I'm on everlasting, so no meet-ups. :P Let me know how it goes, and what your build ends up looking like. It's not by any means perfect, but I've been beating my face against it for a while now and thought some conversation about it would be helpful. I feel like I want to take one more pass at it, and aim for 32% positionals... It might not be in the cards, just cuz Bio is weird, but, I've seen some pretty squishy builds hit the 45%. I feel like there's secrets that I'm missing, you know? How to make weave and maneuvers, and combat jumping just work. I'm glad you found this helpful though! Have fun! I find Incinerate, Charged Shot (to try and spread), Cutting beam or refractor beam to open up defenses, then lancer and piercing to put the hurt usually helps. I usually fill with charged shot to keep single shot open for when Opportunity Procs (see what I did there?), to unlock offensive opportunity. I would guess soloing you might want to defensive bonus (or if you're shy on heals, which is hard to believe as a /rad). Anyhoo. Your results may vary. I'd love to hear about them. :P
  3. Weeellll. I've got some questionable choices in Bio. DNA Syphon is a scary pick. I grabbed it for the Foe -regen, Self +HP/End but it's an AoE taunt which is scary in a group. And it's best used in packs anyways, so like... "I'm weak. I need to pop a heal- maybe I'll pop a heal that will make everyone want to attack me!" I'm wondering if it's worth the slot. Most of the installs are great for Res/Def buffs and Mode Synergy. I'm hoping that once my Boundless Energy gets kitted out, I'll be able to run around in offensive mode, and Env Mod gives more to hit buffs. I gotta get to 50 and start seeing what it all actually looks like. :P
  4. I knew about the "Better DPS by not burning Perfect Body" loops, but I agree, I really like the look of the big hits... I may end up only burning SS, and dropping EotS from my single target rotation, letting the down time be just scrapper style rotations (or even waiting for the placate to proc off of AS and doing a fully charged SS from stealth?) I think I chose Merc Blow over Precise partially for leveling, but mostly cuz the tooltip has a -def in it, and I can realistically Merc, Serp, Merc, A.S., SS. I could drop super speed, since I've already got SJ for travel power, put assassin's mark on Precise, and try and crib some slots from elsewhere to flesh out mercerial to debuff better... Hrm... Edit: I did so. I can crib enough stuff to get the other attack later on in the series and still have enough slots to fuel all the things I want, and get back to true perma hasten. However I'm at an impasse. Do I go full Lady Gray to get global 11% acc buff, or do I go 5/6 Lady Gray, and Achilles chance for -res?

  6. Thank you so much for the feedback, and I'm totally down with the first two points, but the third has me blinking. Which -res pvp io? I don't think I'll be doing much PVP to begin with, and the idea with the KD Chance is a bit of crowd control built into my scrapping chain- (the intention is to open with A.S. if i'm stealthed, and go into Guarded, do a Merc Blow and churn through Sky Splitter and EotS when I can. So, you're right guarded will be in my rotation frequently. I'm okay with it going away, but again, I'm not sure of which enhancement you're referring to. :P Other than that, though, it's looking okay? Relevant Defenses are high, and offensive output looks okay?

  10. Okay, back again with another revision. My defenses are down to about 20%, but all of my resistances are up to ~60%. Offensive capabilities are around the same. Thinking about cutting the second basic attack, but doing so gets rid of the "defensive opportunity" as an option...   11. (They're the same person. :P) Hey, quick question. I'm working on a beam rifle/Radiation build, I've been able to get to perma haste, ~20% all defenses (+/-3%), and 60% resistances (psionic being a low outlier at 45%, and fire being a high outlier at 70%), with 240% recovery, 450% regen. I've got a big self hot, and big aoe hot.... I'm looking to do some end game stuff, but I'm not looking to solo 4/8 arch villains or anything like that. Is this respectable? Are there figures I should be trying to hit in specific? If with my secondary options, more defensive options aren't an option, doubling down on getting to the resistance hard cap better than kinda sorta getting close on both? I've been staring at this puzzle for almost a week... >.<;
  12. Alright. I'm 30, now. And still enjoying the setup. But I figured I'd take another go at it. I was able to get most of my important defenses up to around 30%, with most of my health and endurance remaining the same. My over all endurance reduction came way down, (10% originally, down to 3.8%.) As a ranged character, what kind of defense totals am I looking for? Are there any magic numbers for these things? Can I spare myself 3 powers from the fighting tree? What kind of epic pools are good, here? I can't get the body pool like I would for my melee guys... :/ Any feedback, even a "Yeah, looks pretty good", would be useful to me.

    Decided to try my hand at a sentinal, and have been having a ton of fun so far. Started with one character concept, but ended up going full iron man. Anyways. I stole someone elses radiation secondary build, tweaked it so I had enough room for Beam's attacks, and then juggles some slots around so I had enough of this an that to get crazy fast attacks. My fear is I'm going to be very low on defenses.... Anyone have thoughts on that? I'm new to the ranged attack scene.
