  1. I got a beam rifle/Radiation guy at level 18. Been playing my pistols/willpower, trying to get one character leveled up after trying way too many. Still only level 36 on that one. But the BR/Rad is going to get some love before long. I am an idiot with all this new stuff and can't help with a build. But I love Sentinels. I know a lot of people are down on them, but I don't care. I'm having fun.
  2. I meant to ask. Why is follow up better on scrapper? I didn't make it clear I was seeking that info in my initial post. I'm not sure I understand.
  3. Thanks. I thought I remembered anything past 3 of the same enhancement suffered diminishing returns. But I couldn't remember for sure, and I'm guessing for some things it's worth doing it anyway. I had already loaded up on a fresh set of SOs when I posted this, so live and learn I guess. I've been having too much fun playing to bother reading about all the new stuff.
  4. I'm torn. Right now I have both at level 20, but that doesn't really tell me too much. I think I would miss the sweet criticals of the scrapper, but I do like some of what the brute brings to the table. I usually play at a fast pace anyway, but always chasing rage might get old. I skipped swipe as well, and did on my old claws/regen as well, it's totally not needed. Convince me the damage will be really close ...will it? I also have a pistols/wp sentinel, which is good fun as well. Oh, also ... should I take the taunt power on the brute? I figure skip it on the scrapper, but then maybe not. To round them up tight for the aoe stuff. I seem to recall a taunt aura in the wp set. I'm clueless.
  5. I had a claws regen scrapper that I loved back in the day. Before and after the regen change. Looking to go willpower for some of the old school regen feel. Scrapper or Brute? The first question you're going to ask is "do you want to tank?" I don't care. I want to do damage like a madman and be able to dive into a pile of bodies. If that makes me the tank, that works. The fast attacks are good for fury. Follow up is better on scrapper? I don't know. Make your case. Thanks.
  6. So right now I'm just building my pistols/willpower Sentinel by the seat of my pants. I mean, neither power set was even a thing when I last played. I have a couple or 10 other heroes as well. A lot has changed and I don't remember half of what I DID know. So these questions aren't specific to a build, but more general. Pool powers: The fitness pool is inherent now, woot. But I also have the quick recovery power in willpower. Quick recovery seems better than Stamina, but are there diminishing returns on slotting? For example, would I get more out of 6-slotting quick recovery, or 3 QR and 3 Stamina? Math is hard. Is there a formula for "most efficient?" Regardless of the answer to that question, I don't like running out of endurance. I'm looking at you Freak Show. So overkill might be in order, but there's overkill and then there's overkill. How much is too much? Or is there such a thing? Leadership: I completely forget how I used to slot those powers. Is there a general rule of thumb? How much is considered "enough?" I don't like to miss either. I'm looking at you Circle of Thorns. Then there seems to be some new stuff where you can take attack powers from a pool? People talking about Fire/Time/Dark corruptors and stuff and I'm clueless. I'm not familiar with that at all. Right now I'm just going with what I know, which is probably stupid, but I'm slotting SO enhancements at level 33 and hope to figure out all the new stuff by level 50.
  7. A lot of new stuff since I last played. I googled, but I'm stupid. I could use a little help figuring out when to do what, and how to to it. Is there a guide somewhere that can help walk an idiot through it? Preferably something that doesn't assume I know what all those initials mean?
