The one thing I am finding is that the personal attacks need to be a bit cheaper Endurance-wise.  The M30 Grenade is still 18 End which is almost a 1/5 of my blue bar.  I do realize that you don't have to spam all these powers, but with a bunch of toggles running, even a mistimed shot could drop everything (including you).  Since it is a good idea to take at least one attack (if not all) slots are at a all time premium.  Using them for End Reduction for a simple attack seems wasteful.

Hopefully those Endurance costs could come down at least by 25-30% for a AOE power (like M30) if not 50% for say the T1 single shots.

That's kind of a thing across all MM powers.  Up until recently, you needed at least one blue candy to fully summon and buff your pet complement, because the pet and upgrade skills literally added up to more than a full blue bar even after end reduction IOs.

Even Level pets are in the pipeline, but there is a lot of work associated with the change with how their stats, slotting, and other interactions come into play.

Good to know.  Watching the tier 1 pets effectively bounce off enemies at the difficulty settings most groups run at is demoralizing.

I don't envy you that to-do list, but on the bright side removing the level shifts will should make the math involved in future balance efforts a shade easier.

EDIT: Should, not will.  Standard Code Rant and all that.

. Folks want to blame everything including tectonic plates on Farming, but fail to understand just how outdated, boring, and repetitive CoH leveling content is post your, I dunno, 10th 50 at most?

I find various ways to skip story missions (usually MSR) because every time I try to play story stuff, I'm reminded of why I don't play the story stuff.  Very few arcs in this game have writing worth the space it takes up in the text boxes, and if it was shit the first time, subsequent times are going to suck even harder.  So really, why bother?

I checked the I24 data and that +100% ToHit is present there as well, so don't blame us for that one!

You can blame us for the autohit special damage, which IIRC was changed to be autohit so that you had to actually get Ambrosia and couldn't cheese it with stacked Barrier. Though with that +100% ToHit buff unless you've got a team with you anyway it might as well have been autohit...

Who do we blame for the attack doing enough damage to oneshot people right through an active Ambrosia buff?

  5. Lucky you.  I dreamed of playing Dr Mario, only the game was cheating - changing the color of pills after they land, refusing to vanish matches even when six or eight of a color got lined up, dropping pills super fast.

Kinda like what the "challenge" people want to do to this game, really.

     It's a classic trial

Irrelevant.  There's no point in even giving the PC an HP bar if you're going to circumvent it with oneshot mechanics.  Even HAMIDON doesn't instagib people.

I'm not dealing with that shit.  Period.  I don't care what excuses you offer, it's a bullshit mechanic that should not exist in any game and I will not run that trial ever again.

The Crystal Titan will not use its Foot Stomp if its current target is out of reach.  It will only do its cone attack, Prism Blast, at you.  You can taunt it from up high and everyone else can safely nibble its ankles to death, assuming nobody nibbling its ankles is also taunting.

That's not what I've seen.  Everyone was airborne including the taunter, I landed my controller just long enough to drop an acid mortar - IMMEDIATE Foot Stomp.  Dead in one shot, right through Ambrosia.

I am never running that bullshit again.

I just don't see it as a win/win fix. More like a lose/lose fix. But that's just my opinion.

You could say the same thing about them deciding to break Rage way back when.

It certainly hurts and may require respecs or changing your AE critters.  But fire farms will go on.

PS.  I don't like the -defense in fire melee and hope they revert it.  It's bad, but it's not doooooooooooooooom.

I'm wondering where they got the idea to give Fire Melee of all sets defense debuffs.  That feels like "This set needs a buff, get out the hat".

  10. My opinions on the devs' trustworthiness (comma lack of) aside, my only real complaint about page 5 itself is the number of characters I'm gonna have to basically rebuild from scratch if I ever want to play them again.

MOST of the changes look pretty good, especially compared to the fiasco of page 4.  But that respec interface is just ...UGH.  Half the time I spend in Mids is for the sole purpose of NEVER DEALING WITH THAT SHITSHOW AGAIN.  In a lot of cases I find it easier to start over from the creation screen than endure the respec UI.

    I mean, exactly this.

Side tangent: I swear,  it feels like folks think if they say, "Devs volunteer yadda yadda spiel" enough they'll be made one. You won't, they see right through that I'd assume. So, why keep saying it? It's more irritating than the complaining and even LESS effective. In fact, ya' wonder why folks don't want to test anything? There ya go.

Personally, I'm not testing anything because my current work schedule makes playing CoH at all impossible, nevermind the extra time and energy to get onto a whole different server.  Considering the devs' track record, by the time I get a chance to make any feedback the self-appointed forum police would call valid, the chance for it to be considered will be long gone.

I'd still like to see at least the grave knights to also get lethal resistance (they are kinda wearing armor?)  Being the heavy knights and in melee I feel they kind of need it and it is appropriate.

Thematically speaking, Necro pets should have some lethal resist anyway.  They're fucking dead, what's "lethal" even mean at that point?

And because some people around here either can't grasp context or have the reading comprehension of a cinderblock: yes, I am joking.

I dunno. I’m optimistic that if you actually test it then your feedback will be listened to. There were wiggles last time if you raised good points respectfully, after testing it, and could make a well thought out argument. Attitude plays a lot in this I think.

Where you saw a few small wiggles, I saw a whole lot of "yeah, we'll look at that" followed by pushing it live as-is.

They could at least be honest about their intentions with the threads and call them "Bug Testing: X Change".   Because that's clearly the only feedback they're actually interested in.
