  1. Need help here guys.

I am getting the Manifest Download Error and the program and system worked fine ... for months.

An exception occurred during a WebClient request.

Turning off AnitVius or running as Admin don't seem to help.   Not sure where to see if Windows Defender is the culprit here (it says it is handled by my AV)

I am using ESET and added Tequila as an exclusion, and tried running it w antivirus off.

I may try reseting to previous system save point.

  3. Inv/Katana is pretty decent, I am liking it a lot.  Fast animations are the ticket.

Suggest doing Radio missions to level up.   If you can't find one right away, then it's very easy to start one as they fill super up fast.

Plus it's very gratifying to be the Tank and help out.

Divine Avalanche is a decent Defensive Parry, so I slot if with Luck of the Gambler (or your choice of Defense)

You really need Build up, also it can take to hit buffs.

Today I soloed the Patron Arc and respecced into Mu Mastery.  Energy Mastery was not very exciting.

Invincibility can take to-hit buffs as well, On tonight's respec, I gave it 6 slots, but that was mainly to get a full set of Reactive Defenses.

I am not sure why people slot out Taunt.  I never have enough slots to do that.  It seems to work fine for most situations using 1-2 slots.

Most people don't bother to slot out Sting of the Wasp.

Golden Dragon is pretty good, so I don't recommend not taking it, ussaully it's a finisher and the KB is not very annoying.

I never take Tough/Weave, I mean unless they are for Mule slots.  They are End hogs.

Combat Jumping is a better choice for that.

I am putting Hecatomb in Soaring Dragon.

The sorcery power set won't help you much.  I would wager Unstoppable is a heck of a lot better than Rune of Protection.

It's great if you run out of end or get hit by a Sapper.  Although the crash can be a pain if you aren't paying attention.

You did a lot of slotting right in your build, like Dull Pain.

    Anyway, Good Luck!

  4. I like the second build.   One suggestion, for Fault, slot Sudden Acceleration KB > KD so guys aren't flying everywhere.

Reactive Armor in the Passives?  The Defense bonus doesn't seem like a lot but I guess you would get 5% total.   Do you then attune it so it will scale to 50?

Also my opinion, and that's all that it is... is that the Fighting Pool, Tough/Weave is not needed on Invulnerability.  I mean, I don't have it, and I'm more than fine.

Toons that I take it on, it doesn't really seem to help me all that either 🙂    We tend to Min/Max builds, but to what end?  YMMV.

One thing you may want to think about doing.
On all of the Auto: Resist armors, sub Reactive Armor (Res, Res/End, Res/Rech, Res/EndRech.
You miss out on a little bit of E/N Resist: But it makes soft-capping your E/N DEFENSE a bit less daunting.
F/C Resist is usually really decent with Winter-Os.
Put the Steadfast Res/Def into Resist Energies.  Mainly because it's providing that tiny additional erg of +Rech.

  5. I don't have the accolades yet.  I will check that out ASAP!

Regarding Dull pain, I have it setup so that it's Perma, but I don't always need it.  I mostly run it just in case I get a wierd damage spike, which happens occasionally albeit rarely.

I have been one shotted, but that seems previous to level 50 Alpha being maxed out.  And I took Musculature.  I don't feel I need more mitigation from Incarnate Alpha.

I didn't take Fighting Power Pool, I never feel like I need it.  We already  get Tough Hide and Invincibility.  My S/L resist is around 84%.

I don't see any point in playing the numbers game (on this toon), unless it helps you stay alive.  Since I don't have difficulty staying alive, seems like a waste of time to min/max everything.

If it becomes a problem, then I will address it.

Other classes have to worry about that stuff a lot more because they have survivability issues.

The only time I use Unstoppable is if I don't pay attention and run out of End.  I see a lot of Tankers don't bother to take it.

  6. My Invulnerability Tanker currently has  2141 hit points and when Dull Pain is active it's 3256.

I hear people saying they have over 6000 hit points.   I do have Unbreakable Guard Max HP slotted.

I also have 4 small and one moderate increase from enhancements sets.

Health in Inherent Fitness doesn't seem to affect HP?

This character is not fully built out.  I am still trying to work out the best way how to get and spend influence and rewards etc.

I agree with Frostweaver's selection of Primaries.  I think weapon sets don't matter as much for tankers, so there's really not much point in rating them.

Some do a bit more damage.  Some are bad unless slotted to change KB to Knockdown.  Most have some kind of AoE.

Other than that it's more about your character concept than anything.

  8. Invulnerability is stupid good for Tankers.

Katana is really good, due to the high damage and high Defense from Divine Avalanche.

I think any set with Parry would be in a higher tier.

Super Strength is always top tier, unless Rage gets a nerf.  Stone Melee is pretty decent (due to the aforementioned KB > KD enhancements)

Fiery Aura is great for farming.  Can it be used for all-round Tanking?  It used to be not so hot for that.

Dual Blades is bottom tier,  Staff also, due to very low damage, but it has Parry, so maybe Average.

Shield Defense lacks Resist.  It might leave you high and dry being mostly Defense.  You would need to take Tough and Resilient Incarnate to make up for it.

  9. How do you make enough money to twink out your character?  Are you using a Spines/Fire (or other) Brute to farm up the stuff?

    ...

It takes me 30 minutes to make enough money to completely twink them out in enhancement sets (including superior ATOs, globals and purple sets). It takes me less than a day to go from dinging L50 to being 4/3/3/3/3/4 Incarnate.

  10. Hi Fellow Dominators

I started a Fire/Fire Dom, which I have put on hold for the time being and rerolled as a Fire/Psi dom as I think it's more survivable, (more better-er?)

Could someone please please explain the Mechanics of Perma-dom for me and my fellow Domi-n00bs.

If that's dependent on sets then what sets do you typically get, and what stats do you need?

    Sounds like Recharge.

How much do you slot out Hasten, etc.

Also, when does your Dom start coming into their own?

If you are farming, are you farming missions, AE solo?

  11. Never taken Unstoppable on an Invuln tanker.  Never felt the need, even w/o set bonuses.  Dull Pain is the only trouble bubble I need.  This was true when Heraclea was Inv/SS and truer now that she's /Dark; even Dull Pain tends to sit neglected when Siphon Life is fully slotted for healing and available every six seconds or so.

That's a pretty great recommendation for that combo.  My only concern would be a lack of AoE powers, pretty unkillable though.

  12. Invulnerability still seems pretty decent.  Unstoppable is Gawdly, like it does everything you want then the kitchen sink, but when it drops you crash pretty hard.

Fortunately, the set is so good ... you may only need Unstoppable for really tough situations as a last ditch save.

Invincibility really defines the set and gives you a lot of defense, if you are surrounded by say 10 plus mobs, you take zero damage.

  13. You can't go wrong with Invulnerability.  It really defines what Tanking is about.

You have lots of Resists and lots of Defense

I am leveling my Inv/Katana tanker, and Katana is solid, even adding more Defense with Divine Avalanche, as if you need it.

Fire, Electric Melee, Dark Melee, Titan Weapon, SS, Spines are all great powersets.  There are probably others.

  14. I made an Invulnerability/Katana Tanker because I played Invuln in Live and I know how to play it.

It hasn't changed and it is really good.

There are probably other powersets that are just as good, but I haven't played them.

You can't use Shield Defense as it won't pair with any two-handed weapons.

I've heard Willpower is good, but probably not better.  I think it depends on what you like to play.

Probably any set can be used with proper slotting nowadays though.

  15. I played an Inv/Axe tanker in live for a really long time.  Axe has that crazy Knockback on all it's powers.  It's pretty annoying and I would not take it again.

Still, my character was in high demand for TF's and other group content.

Back then it was an OK powerset because the number of tanker sets was pretty limited.

The main thing was could you hold aggro and stay alive.  That was never an issue, especially with Invulnerability.

Now you have a lot of sets to play around with.  Titan weapons sounds one of the better and more fun pairings.

Broadsword, dual wield, dark melee, staff also sound decent.
