Unfortunately, I have always struggled in my skill at building and playing such, balancing its offence vs defence. No matter what secondary I pair with Storm, it never seems to have the offence / manoeuvrability to protect itself and defeat foes in a timely manner. I have put together the following build. I would welcome thoughts on its viability. The intention is Ranged Defence + Recharge + Resistances. Golden Azrael Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 (edited) That's a decent 1st whack at a build. You've prioritised signature powers. Makes sense to me. See my message to you. Part of me wants to roll a storm/ice to test it for myself. It looks very powerful with the debuffs and ice is a great blast set. Complement one another nicely with the slows and holds. Nicely rounded out with elec RP choice to keep the RP build theme going. Perhaps it would be a good idea to post the original SO build to see where you are currently at. Discuss the problems of the current build and that would provide more context for making suggestions regarding IO sets? In terms of myself, I try to get as 'clean' an SO build as I can and then I can build IO sets based upon an understanding of what the build requires. Azrael. Riverdusk Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Personally I'd always try to grab an immobilize to go with storm. Storm has powers with fear effects that tend to send AV's (who have good slow resistance) running. Can be a real annoyance. Since you've already gone electric with your epic pool, I'd consider picking up electric fence. Maybe more useful than a 1 slot Thunderstrike anyway.
