Bionic_Flea Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Here's a Proc heavy, perma-Chrono/Hasten/Farsight, softcapped to melee and AoE standard but then over cap on everything when using Power boost, Support Hybrid, or Clarion Radial, capped S/L resist version of you. I like to call him Captain Tachy-Proc. Pop your Power boost, Farshight, Chrono, and Aim, run in with Superspeed and the stealth IO, Soul Drain them to boost your damage and knock'em down, them release the Thunderous Blast! That's about 1000 points of damage. Or you can pop Clarion and shoot things with a full ST chain at 168 feet . . . or 446 pt damage snipe from 285 feet! Frostweaver Posted September 19, 2019 Author Posted September 19, 2019 (edited) Thanks flea, I have been trying out the build. It's definitely great as an offender build. I think I am going to multi-build, as expensive as it is. The only change I made was slotting in a chance to buildup in soul storm, and then adding in a steadfast KB to dark embrace. After I realized that soul storm has, quite possibly, the absolutely coolest hold animation in the whole game, I am happy to lead off with it and it's recharge time almost guarantees that both sould drain and thunderous get an extra 60%? damage when they go off. It's kinda nice to actually brush the damage cap for defender 🙂 Edited September 19, 2019 by Frostweaver
Ankhammon Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I would seriously reconsider getting Voltaic Sentinel. Sparky is worth it, IMO. I think most ppl don't like Voltaic Sentinel because they look at it and it only does 88ish points of damage. But consider it as a DPA exercise. It does this blast every 4 seconds and equates to 15 times during the course of it's life. That works out to about 1323 pts of damage with an cast time of 3.3 seconds. He starts off at 150% acc so you could actually just slot in 3 damage if you wanted. He won't miss often with all your -Def thrown in. If you are in a long fight he definitely adds to your damage potential. Just my 2 cents.
Bionic_Flea Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 The question is, what do you take out for Voltaic Sentinel? And my two main problems with voltaic is 1) the cast time and 2) his choice of targets . . . OK 3 problems . . . 3) that he's untargetable. If he drew some aggro or if I was able to target off him or buff/heal him I would like it more. If this were a blaster build, I would probably take it.

My personal taste, i would dump temporal selection from your build. Then again, I'm a selfish defender. 🙂
Bionic_Flea Posted September 22, 2019 Posted September 22, 2019 But temporal selection is acting as a one hit wonder in that build. Would you take Voltaic with just the default slot? If not, then you need to find other slots to move or another power with more slots. It's always a balance and a trade-off.
