So I'm crazy and working out multiple builds as I go. I make too many toons, but that's neither here nor there. In this case, I'm trying to modernize what I can remember of an old build, but I'm coming up blanks on certain parts of it. Generally speaking, I played him kind of Scranker-ish. He'd jump in on the biggest, baddest thing in the group and refuse to go down. If I could keep that feel going, it'd be swell. I've filled out all I can recall, but I'm sure it can be improved. Likely will drop Fly in favor of one of the prestige travel powers, if you need another power slot to work with. Any tips and advice is greatly appreciated!

You probably don't need or want Strength of Will, and Body Mastery is maybe a bit curious for WP.

This gets you to 32.5 for F/C/E/N defense, reasonable S/L/P, and capped S/L resists.  I bet there's a way to change some of the S/L resist slotting for better efficiency.  With all +HP accolades and at 10 enemies for Rise to the Challenge, this also is >100hp/s regen, which is pretty respectable for a scrapper. Not all DB combos are created equal; this focuses on Sweep and Attack Vitals for dps, with some -Res procs in for seasoning.

No-Set Builds: Tanker Scrapper Brute Stalker

Body Mastery is usually the chocie I take on weapon holding chars so I avoid redraw (I think that was fixed). Still, I would recommend you go instead (or as well) DB/SR and enjoy becoming a buzzsaw in an endless killi...erm, arresting, fest.

Posted

I've always been under the impression SR was too 'all or nothing'... Was that changed? Plus my idea was to offset downtime with WP's passives, being able to recover endurance between fights, etc.

Posted

SR is a gamble but the primary can change it a lot, it benefits a lot from primaries with any form of dmg mitigation and, if I recall correctly, there was some aoe knockdown with DB. On the other hand, DB benefits greatly from the +rchg in SR (or elec ).

Attack vitals then sweep combo. Sweep is aoe knockdown. That can be done all day long with minimal global recharge. DB / WP is probably one of the least expensive combos to make that performs well. The only issue is it doesn't get much better without some pretty crazy recharge iirc. Would have to do some digging to find the higher damage high recharge combo.
