Hi! "New" to playing Corruptors in that this is my first level 50 and is being spec'd for endgame. I think it looks good, which means there is probably an issue I'm not experienced enough to recognize. Would you please help?

 

A few considerations:

1) Defense was my top consideration. Hitting the S/L/E/AoE softcaps felt good and F/C are pretty close too. I would have rather softcapped positionals, but I confess I'm neither skilled nor experienced enough to do this.

2) "No Haste?" -> Correct. I've got LotG 5-slotted and a lot of CDR in the powers themselves, plus Agility Core slotted. Both sets are pretty busy, so I need time to fire powers anyhow (and BR takes a whiiiile). I feel like I am in a good place.

3) "Slotting so much CDR is going to bork your procs" -> Not worried about that.

4) "It looks like you just threw money at this without trying to min/max frankenslots" -> Yup!

How attached to flight are you? Is this a part of the concept of the build? Do you plan to hover above mobs? If so, why take repel?

 

Also, would you be happy with melee/ranged softcap without the AOE def?

Somewhat attached, but Super Jump could fit the concept just as well. To be honest, I wanted the extra LotG Mule in Afterburner and with the extra flight speed in Swift, she gets up to 80mph with Afterburner on. That said, if there is a better way then I'm all for it. It's just that where I was at with the slot budgeting I felt like that was my best place to go.

 

I tool repel on the off-chance I needed to be grounded, as I would loose that bit of defense from Hover and wanted a "go away!" button with benefits. Really, it's at the end of the build cause I didn't know what to pick with so few slots (and in truth I hate the Mace animations from the EPP, but wanted Scorpion Shield).

Short answer: Yes

More details: Not at the total expense of AoE, though. If it goes below 30 and requires a heavy rework of powers, I'd wave off. I intend to mostly team with the character, and in optimum conditions the tank will be facing the targets away from the squishies, so really only the AoE's should be hitting us. Even stray cone attacks would fall in this category. So that's why I was happy with AoE softcapping.

Ok, well this is what I've worked out for you. You have hasten and a lot more recharge, but unfortunately AOE def is below 30%. Still, most AOEs have either a ranged or melee component so I feel the offsets are worth it. Plus, this way you have a lot better resists also. This should be able to wage into melee and get the full benefit of repel and the FF recharge proc. Let me know what you think. There is no travel power because sprint+ninja run puts you at max speed.
