From a philosophical point of view I don't really care about AE XP (I don't use it but if others do I don't care). However if having AE farming puts a significant strain on the server then it does affect my play experience in which case yeah it should remain nerfed.

Would like to have reg xp back in AE there more than enough lag all over in servers and everyone farms in pi time to change it back up again .

So your argument is that because humans are proving they are beholden to their baser instincts and in the process generating a lot of lag that we should just give up and let them generate near insurmountable amounts of lag?

I actually posit this challenge.  And I will play it with a characters especially designed for it.  His name will be Pro Payne, because I think it'll be painful.  Design an AE based XP farm that is so clever and intricate in its design that you can get me to level 50 before my main characters (who, I'll point out are in absolutely no hurry to reach 50), WITHOUT putting a major strain on the server CPUs (and just to be clear, I've got a decent idea about how that could be done, but absolutely no interest in trying it out), and I'll gladly change my vote.

Okay, no, I won't.  Because that would be stupid.  But I *will* throw all of my totally worthless support behind making this little gem of an AE mission Dev's Choice, so that it'll grant full XP awards.  Which should serve your "I want to use AE to level" purpose.

No?  I thought not.

(But, please, please, prove me wrong.  It would be interesting.)

Its not all about the lvling of new SuperHeores but we have had people over farming in Pi and its boring also over farming incarnate trials along with Rikti raid being over farmed which in all is more strain on a server than the AE .I like to make new missions and not use custom thing to fight but just revamp reg mission in a new way and see and do different things. The over powered power leveling by AE is all custom not the reg already in game fights.

That is false and the dev's have already confirmed it.

1 AE mission is FAR more intensive then 20 non AE missions with how scripting works.  The AE is a MASSIVE resource hog and puts a huge strain on the server when people are running farms on it.

Direct quote

The missionserver, as its called, is a separate piece of software that stores the mission data as created by players. It does use some resources, but that part is not a big deal. Once you start an AE mission, it's loaded in a mapserver, like any other mission. They are not treated any differently.

The problem is that players can build missions that are a lot more resource-intensive than normal missions from the game. When enemies spawn in normal missions, most of them have their AI in an "idle" state until they are aggroed, which doesn't require much processing power. But most AE farms rely heavily on ambushes or patrols, which spawn the critters with fully active AI. And that's the problem.

Missions are run on 9 servers with a total of 224 cores. For the most part you can run lots of zones and missions on a single core without a problem; but AE farms tend to max out a core all for themselves. If there's just 100 AE AI-intensive farms running, that eats half of the mapserver processing power for all 4 shards.

Oh wow!  That quote from Leandro is very, very interesting...

So it turns out I would have been completely incorrect in my assumption (and I'm very willing to admit when I'm wrong about something).

See, I figured AE farms used huge maps with lots and lots of mobs spawning in all at once.  I would have used a smaller map very dense with chain encounters (using ambushes) that only spawn in one at a time, figuring having just a few mobs at once would be better than a few hundred all spawned in at the same time.  But it looks like that would actually be a HIGHER drain on the mission server... interesting.  So my "good intentions" would be paving the road to hell.

Of course, that means I'm *really* not inclined to change my vote (and keep the missions XP nerfed to discourage farms) - and I really LIKE AE (even if my prior post made it seem like I didn't).
