KittyEmpress Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Just starting the game and I know I wanna play a mastermind because that's what I miss above all else. But I don't know what set to use. Demon and Beast both are tempting because they were introduced after I originally quit, but Thugs was what I played in Live when I left the game, and so it has a soft spot in my heart.
zimz Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 I was in the same boat as you. Used to be Bots/traps main, but i wanted to try something new and chose Thugs. I was not dissapointed, but i do miss my ass bot sometimes. I would recommend Demons, as they are pretty powerful and many consider top tier with bots and thugs. They quite big and noisy tho. But maybe that is a good thing for some :)
lockmasterg Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 The tiers are pretty much... Bots, thugs, demons Necro, mercs Ninja, and last beasts. Any of these would be fine if geared properly. Problem with beasts is its all melee. There defenses dont make up for always being in melee range. The top 3 all have good offense, and good defense. Bots after you get the final power is pretty amazing. I'm working on a demon now and so far it's pretty decent.
KittyEmpress Posted May 14, 2019 Author Posted May 14, 2019 By loud, do you mean louder than bots? I was originally going to go with bots because everyone says they are the top tier superior... but oof. The clanking constantly when they walk was a total no.
lockmasterg Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 It's something you either learn to live with or play with no audio lol they are loud for sure.
ed_anger Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 If there’s any sound that really annoys you, you can find out which .ogg file it is and replace it with a silent .ogg file (using the same name)
Alienami Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 demons really are large and loud though. Your 3 big ones roar, back to back in a roar conga line... ears bleeding.
