DR_Mechano Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 Which assault incarnate ability is better for brutes. They have lower damage scaling than stalkers and scrappers for whom double hit is the obvious choice which means the secondary hits aren't going to do as much damage BUT they also can already get stupidly high amounts of damage boosting and in teams I feel like it's just not going to be too worthwhile so I'm at an impasse about which to pick.
Harpoon Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 Depends on your planned usage and expectations. If you're farming using combine binds and expect to be near the 675% cap, then the double-hit is the way to go, otherwise the damage boosting will probably work better.

This, but remember that the cap includes the damage bonus from enhancements. So, in real terms a brute needs to hit 550-580% (depending on enhancements and alpha) damage buff in order to hit the cap. (I'm sure you know this, but I just wanted to point it out for general public knowledge.) 1
SwitchFade Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 (edited) There's a great write up on this that boils down to, If you're at the damage cap then generally go double hit, like a fire/kin controller and a capped brute. If you're well below the damage cap, and have heavy hitting attacks like a scrap, go boost. If you're well below the cap and have light hitting attacks, like a tank, go double hit. Generally.
