The way this set is currently, it is actually better than the Purple Armageddon set. I can't get Ranged defense from Armageddon. 

 

Yeah it's an amazing set. Many other sets offer ranged defense and recharge. Basiliks gaze, expedient reinforcement, dom & troller ato's, one of the sniper sets. 

 

None offer both the stackability and bonus values of bombardment. 

 

Then again, melee types have obliteraiion. But melee defense is probably not as widely as ranged.
