High Collar Capes sans Collar

Pretty much what it says on the tin, one of the more annoying aspects of costume making is attempting to make something similar to a cloak but having to deal with shoulder shenanigans (of which few work IMO) or the overly flamboyant collar attached to the only capes that cover more than a smidge beyond the back. I'd love, in time, the ability to select these lovely shoulder covering capes without those pesky, annoying and quite frankly GARISH extra bits which cover my beautiful and evil face.

Right there with you, my batman homage the black flying fox was so torn I wanted the more over the shoulder cloak look but the collar was just way too much.

I'm all for the cape with collar & shoulders, only collar, only shoulders, or just the cape!

I also have a lot of trouble getting the capes just right on my characters.  Often I skip it.  But this thread needs example pics of what's be requested, I'm not sure I understand exactly what everyone is referring to.
