Hello!

 

I recently discovered Homecoming, and I am excited to play CoH again. I have rerolled the last scrapper I had on Live, and I would appreciate your comments on his build. The goal is to soft cap S/L (achieved) as well as to solo big game like AVs. I think I am at least on my way, and I am curious if there might be a more efficient means of getting there or ways to squeeze more performance.

Interesting, and thank you for sharing your build! It looks like your toggles produce a pretty hefty endurance drain. How does that play out in combat? Do you need to keep a stock of blues?

That is an excellent question. My reasoning was that the 1 slotted toggles did not appear to benefit from enhancement as much as the passives. Upon further review, it seems that this strategy resulted in S/L resistances going well beyond the cap at the expense of endurance drain from the toggles. I have switched some slotting around, and the revised build is below.

Hello Everyone,

 

I have continued to play around with this build, and I have managed to make Hasten just barely Perma while keeping S/L softcapped. My main concerns are twofold:

  1. Will the two Performance Shifters keep me from needing to mainline blues?
  2. Is there a better way to get Hasten to be Perma? I really feel like that fourth slot should be somewhere else.

Again, the ultimate purpose for the build is to allow me to go big game hunting for AVs while solo.

 

Any comments and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • The empty slot in Stamina is for the chance for heal proc in one of the new EndMod sets.
  • Gambler's Cut does slightly better DPA than Sting of the Wasp, plus it allows you to use GD and SD more often with the chain of GD > GC > SD > GC while Hasten is up. When Hasten is down you fill with a Flashing Steel at the end. I didn't check it, but there is a chance that with the new PPM rules SotW with the Critical Strikes could be better.
  • Conserve Power has an uptime of almost 50% and you get an extra ~0.8 end/sec on average from Panacea and the two PS procs so Endurance should be fine.
  • Soft capped against S/L/E/NE with one target in Invincibility. I didn't bother with F/C because they are relatively rare damage types and often come with an S/L component attached, but in case you need to, you only need one small purple insp to soft cap.

If you like, you can swap the Achilles proc in SD for a Force Feedback for some more recharge at the cost of some -Res against tougher targets.
