Display Name Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 I see various requests/discussions for modifying the storage capacity of these two things and I just wanted to go ahead and do the request RIGHT. Lol! 1) Can we have storage units that would store items the same way a toon's inventory works? Basically, anything a toon could carry could be stored in a storage unit. Including Incarnate Salvage and those "brilliant idea" things, etc. 2) Can we increase storage units to hold up to 1E+24 items and call it "done?" I mean, if I'm going to ask for more storage I may as well think big, right? At LEAST 1000 (same as the number of alts, which is a completely random and unrelated point.) 3) Can email be changed so that an email can hold six items? This will allow an entire set to be sent through email. 4) Oh, and while I'm on email: can the "Influence" box be set to reset to 0 automatically when sending an email? 1 @Super Whatsit Superbase passcode (Excelsior) is "passcode-6475" It's all a Nemesis plot. But not everything is a Nemesis plot!
Outrider_01 Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 (edited) If you need storage, you are hording far too much. Game craps out everything you need beyond useable levels; personal SG gives enough storage to hold the enhancements you need for future alts. Make enhancements as soon as they light up, drop in the storage tables like purples or LotG, and pick up the ones you you need in the AH. When you have an alt planned out, use the main toon to craft and put in the tables then log in the alt in the personal SG. Pick up the 70 enhancements from the one table you designate at the loot table (don't use email), slot, and profit. /Altinvite command gives you the option to jump in and out of SG, if you are in a SG with friends you need to plan moving characters around when someone can invite you back or everyone is promoted to the second highest option (to jump alts in and out of SG with the invite command). Command organization is a joke in CoH (doesn't provide much use), it is only a choke limiter on public access to storage which is useless when you no longer need enhancements on one character and a frustration the alts. Biggest problem is the player habit of hording, there is too much when you actually don't need it and is only noticed when you need it. I destroyed 17 demonic reports earlier, with 25 purples and 40 red salvage sitting in storage, multiple trips through AH will eventually consume everything as its needed and I delete what can't be used to restart over. And nobody realizes but increasing storage destroys the AH when you need stuff. There will be less recipes resulting in longer fill times for the enhancements you don't have, less salvage (eventually low totals, game drops like mad but do you want to always wait for RNG?) as everyone is "oh, I can just hold hold on to it until its needed" yet you might need something that is harder to get from AH. Inf demands higher price and harder to acquire enhancements (don't quote solid, wild speculation but who will need INF when most of what you need might be in storage?)
