FoulVileTerror Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Had a massive old post queued up that I had been working on for days. Dragged my mouse slightly while right-clicking. My browser's "convenience features" assumed that meant I wanted to navigate back three pages . . . . . . . . . . . . yeah.
DougGraves Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 I rarely have that on my laptop, but kindle seems to like randomly going back pages. I just no longer trying posting on forums with my kindle.
Techwright Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 The "for days" bit is the problem. Something composed for that long should be copied and saved periodically into WordPad or whatever word processor your operating system or office suite utilizes. Not trying to be snarky towards you. I'm a desktop support tech by trade, and you'd not believe how often this thing comes up with the users I support, and concerning some pretty serious business documents. (Well, maybe you would.)
FoulVileTerror Posted October 1, 2020 Author Posted October 1, 2020 Yeah. I have a long, long history of leaving things in RAM, rather than writing them to the hard drive by hitting "Save." One might think that I should have learnt my lesson by now . . . but somehow I just keep trekking on like a big ol' bag of derp. 1
Techwright Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 I rather think we all derp quite a lot and each in our own silly ways.
