Help needed finding COV trailer music

Hi,

 

Firstly, thanks to everyone for bringing this game back. I was a first day subscriber all those years ago, and its still so much fun! Well done people.

 

Now I am, looking for a specific piece of music which I really love! It was the music used in the Alcatraz COV trailer and the start of it is used as the mission completion music on Rogue Isles. I have the trailer (in fact playing the music as I type - it does rock!) but its got action sounds overlayed as well....it was a trailer. I am looking for a clean copy of the original music. I have attached a copy of what I have ATM.

 

I have looked on the page where all of the music has been converted to MP3 and found the Rogue Isle mission completed track, but that's only the first 10 seconds of this really groovy piece.

 

If anyone can help I would be obliged.

Hey thanks for trying! I have looked though as many of the links on the music archive as I thought may hold the right music but to no avail.

So the full track of what starts with the villain fanfare? I found this track from Recluse's Victory that sounds close to it (https://archive.paragonwiki.com/w/images//7/76/M1_faded.ogg) the other track is the bank robbing theme which for some reason isn't under the mission themes on the paragon wiki page, even though its the quintessential one. Now that's the one I wish someone had a copy of.

Some similarities there isnt there! There is the base fanfare but the rest of the track is different. Thanks for looking for me.

 

Its a shame this isn't easier to find. Its a really polished bit of music and deemed good enough to market the product.

The second part of that track is I believe M2_Faded.ogg, particularly from 20 seconds onwards. Part of it is used as the loop during Heist missions, which you can get from the Newspapers for Villains. It sounds like the trailer uses the loop used in Heist Missions: "BankHeist3 loop.ogg" which I've attached to this post, but M2_Faded.ogg is its original form.

Any chance of getting those pieces added to the wiki?  Who do we contact to fix that?

No idea with the Paragon Wiki, and the HCWiki currently doesn't allow .ogg uploads. I'll make a post about it in the hcwiki forum to get them added to permissions.

I have already converted to .mp3 and edited the track to repeat the last part of the track to match the trailer. I have listened to the trailer for so long it doesn't sound right otherwise.  I have literally waited 15 years to do this.
